    Gave this formation a try: 3 games, 3 wins (4-0, 3-0, 6-3)

My opponents did not know what to do against this formation, really funny to watch. Their wings are wide open because they all played narrow. I did play CR7 in the wide target man spot. He only scored one header from crosses to the far post where he outjumped some midget fullback, but CR7 scored some from open play too. If you are using a pure target man with low speed it somewhat limits the way you play i guess. Thats no option for me, but i will give my team a try in WL. Played 89 Nedved as LWB and he did fina and can cross or shoot with both feet whenever he wants.

Yeah you’re right. My tactics are for attacking one wing, personally I like the fact it keeps my patterns of play structured for the whole game but understand it can be limiting if you prefer to be more expansive.

It really is the width (and number of players combining on the touch line) that kills the narrow formations. Some players adapt but it amazes me how many just keep their narrow shape and try to 1-2 pass through 3 CBS, lose the ball and get mullered out wide for 90 mins.

They then send a message telling you “your the problem with fifa”

Played some more games yesterday and i really like your tactics and instructions and the thoughts behind that.
Unfortunatly it does not match the way i play or i want to play , so i made a couple of adjustments.
1.) I need a quick target man on the Wing (Ronaldo)
2.) I need annother Target Man in the middle (UCL Live Cavani)
3.) both fullbacks have to join my attack

Going to play thisway in WL and really looking foreward to finish somewhere between 17 and 20 wins as usual.

Let me know how it goes, i’d like to be more expansive but just find i’m I lose shape and concede more!

Bought Prime Socrates for this WL, i’m Hoping he’ll be the perfect hybrid to play ST. Great at passing shooting and dribbling but also 6’4” with power header trait and 80 jumping (hawk chem style).

Kane will be more consistent but I think Carroll would connect more.

Perhaps sling Carroll on the bench and give him half an hour per game, see who fits best.

So far 2 wins out of 2 games in WL. But both were close games and Cavani saved me with a 30yard power shot to get me to penalty shootout in my last game. Crossing did not work well in these two games, but 2 games isnt much and i will give some detailled response after 10 games

Gotcha, will possibly give that a try then.

If a nominee Salah doesn't appear at 6, it's time to go back to the Big Sam style that's for sure...

@FarPostGhost can you give any advice on this set up? This is what it would look like in game, once I used tactics to change it.

Rivaldo is untradeable so would like to keep him in and I don't want to give my Shearer up as he is great for me. A few players that i think might need changing is rakatic and I'm not sure if it is an issue that Mbappe will be LW.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Mbappe is an expensive option at LW as he’s not a crossing specialist, I think my Overmars has 20 goals from 350 games playing there so coins would be wasted on the Frenchman.

You’re right about Rakatic, not suited to the role at all. You can go offensive in that position but if you’re going to go that way you need pace to break the back line and recover position.

Shearer’s an interesting one. Incredible heading stats but under 6 foot. Be great to hear how you get on as i’ve never played anyone but Weghorst there.

Wing backs are as good as it gets, CBs aren’t my preference but if they work for you DON’T change them! I made the mistake of changing a solid defence and it ended badly.

Thanks for the help. Forgot to mention Mbappe is untradeable as well haha.

Shearer has been a machine for me always scores headers so I'm hoping it works. After your talk of Weghorst I'm going you get him for my bench.

Who would you recommend in midfield in the LCM position? Not got a clue Who should go there.

I have a lot of success with my defence, Godin is great for me. Thanks for the help ill let you know how I get on.

I think I´m gonna use Ibrah as the LW next to Bas Dost as 2nd target man. Wout will be in the bench to relieve Bas Dost when needed :)

After this WL, I will do Ibrah and buy the players I still don´t have for the tactic. Next week, I´m starting with it 100% Looking forward to it!

Scream Mandzukic = tradeable and easier to link ibra

    Budget target man= if poulsen

    My experience with this formation:

It works for me in the offensive. But i conced too much goals. I switched to 433 with one CDM and i feel much more stable in the defence without loosing the power in the offensive.
