also what's the rules with contact with your own team? because even though it'd look ridiculous. why couldn't you just sit on someones shoulder and cover the basket.
Goaltending. You can’t swat a ball away from a shot when it’s going in a downwards trajectory towards the basket. Rule that got enforced when Wilt Chamberlain entered the league. Fun fact the 3 second rule is also because of Wilt. They needed to enforce rules because he was too powerful of a player for the league.

Legit didn't know any of this lol
Yeah that’s why I wrote it down. There are more players that enforced new rulings or measures. Like Shaq after he broke another backboard. Now even Shaq can’t break a backboard while dunking haha. {EA_Lanna: Bait removed}
thanks. I like basketball as a concept but i was so bad at it at school so never bothered to get into it properly. probably missed out
I’m 29 now watched as a kid sometimes kbut really got into it when I was studying (you know staying up late nothing on when you get home from a night out except NBA) and now I’m addicted. Even run a dutch hobby NBA website) when I’m not too busy freelancing. I think it’s the most exciting sport to watch because something beautiful is happening every 24 seconds. I can truly advice you to go watch the play-offs. You’ll learn all the rules in a game or two and after that it’s so much fun to watch!

I dont watch Basketball. But I had it on one game and the final min was on. But it took like 20 min to play it out. That **** was intense[/quote]
Impossible if it was the last minute but the last 4 minutes can take that long. If the coaches have enough timeouts left and it’s a close game they ask for a timeout after every play. Super annoying. Believe they are looking into it. NFL is even worse. I only watch the Super Bowl but I always end it with birds chipping outside my house because it takes so long :’)

I was pretty good at it. But at secondary school during a basketball tourney the ref kept fouling my for 2nd dribbling when I was scoring from the midline.
I was proper triggered. Almost got detention cuz the ref was our teacher.

Maybe not 20 but defo 10.
They kept fouling, time outs.
Yep then it can take thot long. Especially if they are in the bonus and go to the free throw line everytime. Did you like that aspect? When it’s the deciding game in a play-off serie I don’t mind but if it’s just regular season I’m like hurry up.

Everything that involves tactics, strategy I admire. It was so fun to watch. But I had to leave so I couldnt even finish watching it.

Then you really should watch more NBA. Start by watching recaps on YT. MLGhighlights is a great channel. It’s fun to see what kind of play the coach draws or in the case of some all stars what they do with the last posession.

Hey, I've removed and/or edited a fair few posts/quotes where members accuse others of trolling. Please do not do this. If you suspect someone of trolling, report the post and add a note for context behind why you feel this way. Making a post to cast aspirations and consequently derail breaks the forum rules and will mean moderation. Please keep that in mind for again. Thanks.
