Why is the FIFA community this toxic?

Can someone explain to me why of all the games I play the FIFA community is this toxic? It's as if people rather play to annoy the opponent then to have fun themselves. I don't get it.

    EA made it this way.

Mocking celebrations, putting the camera there for you to run to.

They've clearly encouraged ugly behaviour for years.

This is unbelievable. Wonder if they'll ever remove it from the game.

EA make people toxic the games a mess and frustrating so you end up taking that frustration out on your opponent

That's my favorite celebration. I do it all the time, and the best time to do it is when you score after extra time..so get used to ot

If you’re this easily triggered by a game, you might want to rethink some other aspects of your life...

Lol, it’s a game. A game. If it winds you up, it’s not the game or your opponents fault.

    This.

Definitely not the games fault, this game is impeccable & has no flaws what so ever.

    Sarcasm noted...

But we aren’t talking about servers or gameplay here... we are talking about celebrations in the game.

That’s like someone playing Mortal Kombat and getting angry when someone finishes them with a fatality instead of just punching them and getting it over with.

For what’s its worth I don’t celebrate and just skip to kick off

It's not though, I know I certainly don't speak for myself when I say Fifa is the only game that irritates me not out of my own actions but from how the game is in it's simplest form. How often do you play Mortal Kombat and something completely out of you or your opponents control decides the outcome of a game? In Fifa there's instances of it nearly every game, from bizarre red cards & penalties to a heavy AI reliant game.

A badly made game creates a toxic environment.

I haven’t played Mortal Kombat in probably a decade so I don’t really remember the gameplay but I do get the point you’re trying to make

It is reality. Top players in the world celebrate and dance. “If you don’t like it, stop it”. Like talking to a bunch of old dudes about American football. Score score celebrate and rub it in.

What is more important than it's annoying and it irritates people is that it waste time. Some people have limited time to play amd they want to fit as many games in a time period and have some fun.

If you get pissed, you play worse and they win. Simple.

Bar all the other arguments in this thread, this is the most accurate as to why people get "triggered" in my opinion. The game should realistically tale 16 minutes to complete and sometimes it ends up taking a half hour if you have to go all the way to ET/PKs and your opponent is watching every replay taking every single full pause and running to the corner flag to celebrate.

It's not really about calming down, just don't be an inconsiderate child, and act like a decent human being and everything is fine.

Why do celebrations still pis s people off... like the guy scored a ❤️❤️❤️❤️ goal, he dabs, so what.

I personally just skip everything but i have no problem with my opponent doing celebrations, he scores so what. If you're letting it get to you, you might need to consider calming down, cause it might make you play better.

Whether celebrations should by annoying or not is irrelevant, they clearly irritate, even anger a lot of people, which isn’t healthy.

Simple solution is for EA to create an online match making option in the general settings where celebrations are turned off and you only match similar players. There’s enough players online for this to work. I’d certainly use it.

Pretty much agree with everything else said, the young age group and everything online being about competition creates the behaviour

Honestly, I think its a chain reaction of toxicity. A lot of people who arent toxic to begin with, they end up like that after playing some d-bags.

Best you can do is play fair, skip celebrations and replay. And show there’s no need to be a ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

It works for me, I just skip and I keep skipping. You’d be surprised how many people will start skipping too.

It's like I saw in BO4 pros agreed to not not use the new specialist- Zero - as it was too OP. But in FIFA pros would rather not play each other. It's a joke.

And like BO4 and RDR2 online, they get complaints from gamers and they change stuff asap. Whereas EA just leave the game trash and continue tin solely look for ways to make money.

Watching a replay is fair. When Eden Hazard scores in real life and the replay is shown five times for the commentators, is not fair?

Sure, replays suck but it is fair. Don't concede if you don't want a replay.

Replays don't stop the game from starting again in real life. On FIFA someone watching every replay just makes games so much longer.
