How do you take penalties without the cursor?

Ok, so I've just lost my 7th consecutive penalty shootout (out of 7 attempts), mainly because I hit the post too much. How do you guys know where you're aiming without the cursor? What should I do to take normal penalties? Help is appreciated.

i miss 8/10 penalties. yeah, that bad.

Lol, in my last shootout I hit everything through the middle, that almost got me the win but when I had the deciding penalty to win the match I tried to shoot it into the bottom right corner and guess what, hit the post. After that I started missing again.

i find them so easy i press the analogue up and slightly to the side ( not to much )
and near end of run up il move back to the middle or opposite side .
i miss the odd pen ( saved never wide) but i never loose shootouts

I have found moving the angle last second to be very effective. I aim one way and alway change to the other way as soon as he gets ready to kick. Seems really accurate.

Just go and practice Ffs .. not rocket science

Just dont aim to much left or right. I dont think i have missed the goal or hit the post this year in well over 100 penalties at least. some are saved by GK, but never missing the goal entirely

I’m normally excellent from the spot. But I’m like 2/7 in weekend league. No matter where I aim they’re going down the middle. Only way I can make it not go down the middle is by shanking it wide. Not sure what is happening.

I'm having the same issue. I have a marker on my controller where I put the stick and when the arrow is there they find the bottom corner yet when the arrow isn't there aiming at the same spot they go down the middle. Doesn't make sense but nothing with EA ever does.
