Ball Bounces

So I’m curious as to what the patches have done to ball bounces? Was it only tackles it affected? Like less tackles would bounce back to the attacker? Asking because had a couple of matches where I’ve got across to block and even if the cross or shot was full powered it still trickled back to the attacker who originally did it. Just want to know if that’s normal still
