Can some * explain how this momentum matchmaking or whatever it called bs works in futchamps? I go 11-1 and obviously will face better players next game. I ended up loosing 9 in a row, recognized all names and looked them up on futwiz, all minimum of 130 for the month min once last year. WTF is this bs? Isn't the momentum suppose to go away once I loose my winstreak?

Absolutely stacked teams all of them as well I should add. Minimum of one prime at CB and Varane or another Icon

I have no idea how it works either. It baffles me on a weekly basis.

I'm sure it only takes wins into account. so someone who's 5-15 could match someone on 5-0.. saying that my last few games when I got top 100 were against people who were silver 3-gold 2 so who knows.

They have released pitch notes about it but think it's bs.

So this is why I go 15-15 regardless of my team :joy:

Always have the same issue, started of 7-1 this week and got it up to 10-2 then all of a sudden just ridiculously stacked sides like you say. So far am 13-7 so will take it but have no idea how it works

I mean you are at that point in a better skill bracket then when you were playing the bronze/lower silver levels

Also did you RQ at all? I believe that doesn’t “reset” your streak and just carries on

I started 6-0 and now sit at 7-10

My first 6 games were very easy and while I could have pulled out a few of these 10 losses out most were agaisnt much better players.

    I don't get the matchmaking.

As far as how EA said it works it’s like this: You get a running “form”. It’s +1 per win and -1 per loss. So at 9-1 you would be at +8 or at 8-3 you would be +5 form, etc.. You can match up to someone, I believe, up to 6 form either direction. So at +8 you could face someone who is +14 or someone who is +2 and everything in between. That’s where matchmaking luck comes in. You could’ve gotten really unlucky and faced the high end in each of your matches. Maybe caught a few of them just starting? So the guy who normally goes 30-0 may have only been 5-0 and +5 at the time. Another note, maximum form is +15. So someone that’s 29-0 could theoretically match against comeone who is 15-6. Lol

Hope I explained that well enough.

Got it but I guess it doesn't count rage quits as losses agaisnt your count. Maybe thats why if I rage quit some games it would still have me at a positive when I should be at a negative.

Yeah I’m not positive on the rage quits part tbh. I’ve never seen that confirmed officially and this is the first I’ve heard that but I may have missed it.

RQ hardly affect your elo, i mean it doesnt change, so you still getting better players after your RQ. If you would play whole game, system would prob give you an easier opponent next game

I'm with you on this. Another thing I don't get is my games are 0-5 or 5-0. I'm either far better than my opponent or I'm massively outplayed. I rarely have a good game in WL.

If I’m not mistaken, it doesn’t change your “streak”. Only if you actually lose does it start pairing you against other losers

I'm more afraid of PL teams than Icons.

Something sbout them that doengrades your team so they have a chance and its ridiculous how your Ronaldinho becomes bronze

You’re just an average player if you think that.

I started 17-1 a couple weeks ago and then had an awful time. 5-6 through the next 11 before I just gave up.

    Matchmaking

There has been some confusion regarding matchmaking in FUT Champions in the past, so we wanted to provide some insight into this and help explain the system.

The first important goal for FUT Champions is to ensure that every weekend is a clean slate for players to compete for wins and rewards. To do this, we use something called ‘form’ as a key driver of matchmaking in each Weekend League.

Everyone starts each weekend fresh at zero form, moving up or down with each win or loss. In football terms, match form of W/L/W/W/W would result in a +3 form. Players with similar form are then paired in matchmaking.

The result is that players that are better than average in the Weekend League (which is already a very skilled group of players) will quickly boost their form. The higher their form gets, the more challenging the competition becomes. Only the best of the best can consistently beat players with high form and attain Elite and Top 100 status.

The second key piece to matchmaking is location. Players are matched based on their location and proximity to our dedicated game servers to ensure quality matches."

The server thing is nonsense. I'm in Scotland and have played people in Russia and Iran. Pretty sure there were better opponents available.
