RTG: West Ham; Past and present

Not quite a RTG, but near enough, as it will be undertaken on my main account in which I had already packed OTW Felipe Anderson. I have a fairly stacked La Liga team, but as the game goes on, and I become bored, I will focus my coins on this team.

Aim:
To make the best possible team using players from West Hams past and present, eventually becoming competitive enough to compete in a WL. First however, I will start in division 1, world tour in seasons.

The team will centre around OTW Felipe Anderson, starting with 10 other bronze players from West Hams past.

Upgrade rules:
All upgrades can only go up one level; from bronze to silver, silver to gold, gold to inform etc. I cannot upgrade to gold whilst there are still bronzes within the team.

- Every 10 team goals scored
- Every 10 goals any player scores
- Every 10 assists any player makes
- Every Anderson hat-trick
- Every 25 goals Anderson scores
- Promotion or winning a division will allow me to upgrade to a special card

CB: Josh Pask
CB: Dan Potts
RB: Kyle Knoyle
CM: Domingo Quina
CM: Moses Makasi

    Season 1:
Resulted in relegation, with 11 points. It turns out bronze keepers are actually quite crap. Hat-tricks from Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain (iirc) saw the team drop down to division 2.

Anderson finished the season with 10 goals, including one hat-trick, which allowed me to upgrade to former assistant to Gianfranco Zola, Steve Clarke, as my manager. Reece Oxford came in at CB, and Alessandro Diamanti (not pictured) was used as a substitute.

In terms of silver upgrades, it's hard to get the team onto full chem. The current offerings from around the globe to my knowledge are:

    GK:
    Rob Green
    Darren Randolph

    Def:
    Joey O'Brien (Irish links)
    Jonathan Spector (link to Lletget)
    Declan Rice
    Ryan Fredericks
    Aaron Cresswell
Pablo Armero (could have linked to Cristiano Montano if I started with him)
Fabio Daprela (would link to Fernandes/Behrami)
    Reece Burke

    Mid:
Antonio Nocerino (Italian, links Ogbonna, Zaza, Serie B link to Diamanti)
    Josh Cullen
    Sebastian Lletget
    Pablo Barrera
    Matt Jarvis
    Gary O'Neill
    Henry Lansbury
    Stewart Downing

    Att:
    Freddie Sears
    Diafra Sakho
    Ashley Fletcher
    Alessandro Diamanti
    Jordan Hugill
    Sam Baldock

Some of the players in that list make me laugh to think they were ‘premier league quality’

Might go look at every Liverpool past player available... is Paul Konchesky still a thing?

Season 2 saw the team tour Poland, in which Felipe Anderson lead the team to promotion, but not as champions. With 20 team goals, Anderson netting 12, 2 of which were hat-tricks, 5 upgrades were permitted.

The team ended the season looking like:

    Rob Green

    Vashon Neufville
    Aaron Cresswell
    Anton Ferdinand
    Reece Oxford
    Ryan Fredericks

    Felipe Anderson
    Domingo Quina
    Marcus Browne
    Moses Makasi
    Dan Kemp

    Jordan Hugill

    Season 3:
Returning to the world tour in division 1, this time with a better back line, silly dropped points against Bayern, Juve and Porto saw the team hold their place in the division. Irritatingly, Anderson also missed 4 penalties on the trot!!

Anderson continued his fine form from open play however, carrying the team, of which hat-tricks, hitting his 25 goal landmark, 10 seasonal goal landmark, double hat-trick, allowed Hugill to complete the bronze upgrades, finishing with 10 assists (and 7 goals).

So here is the team for chemistry purposes:

    Rob Green in goal
Ferdinand, Rice and Cresswell making up the back 3
Oxford and O'Neill sat deep as CDM
    Lansbury at CAM
Anderson and Fredericks on the flanks
Baldock and Hugill up top, with the typical big man/little man combo

    Moving forward:
In terms of gold upgrades, there's a lot of decent players in-game and special cards to go from here.

    Icons:
    Bobby Moore
    Rio Ferdinand
    Frank Lampard
Gianfranco Zola (bit of a tedious link, as he managed!)

    Special:
    SBC Mauro Zarate
    Flashback Chicarito
    November swap deals Antonio
    IF Arnautovic
    IF Yarmolenko
    Scream Mascherano
    IF Payet

    Golds:
    GK:
    Joe Hart

    Def:
    Tomkins

    Midfield:
    Kouyate
    Behrami
    Stanislas
    Diame
    Alex Song
    Morgan Amalfitano
    Dimitri Payet
    Gokhan Tore
    Feghouli

    Attack:
    Demba Ba
    Enner Valencia
    Andre Ayew
    Jonathan Calleri
    Simone Zaza

    100 percent get tevez involved

Also is ravel Morrison on the game
  • Furrag85

No Morrison. Forgot to list Tevez, but he needs a few upgrades!

Full backs are the killer. Zabaleta slow, but links Masch, Tevez, Lanzini. Masuaku rubbish links. Byram no better than Fredericks, whonisnusabke as he is like Yedelin.

Gonna have to be a 3 at the back formation I think.

    serie A offers:
    Zaza
    Behrami
    IF Mario
    Fernandes

I think this is currently the best offering with 100 chem. I feel Zola is a bit of a stretch in the same way Sol Campbell would be.

If only Paulo futre was still in the game, was the first icon I loved. Before them I had valderama and sheringham didn't turn me into the world beater I thought they would...they'd probably be quite decent if they were in 19

So after a good start in the Divison 1 season Premier League, I conceded some really stupid goals which lead to me holding.

Starting a new season with this team, hoping to get a decent bit of use out of Scream Mascherano before he loses his pace. I have two more silver cards to upgrade in the form of Steve Clarke to Pellegrini, and Ryan Fredericks at RB, probably to Diop or Zabaleta, and going 3 ATB.

If you've got a good attention to detail, you can see that on the bench sits Flashback Chicarito, in his role as super sub, living up to his reputation:

Meanwhile, Felipe Anderson is sitting on 46 games played, 42 goals, 10 assists.
