Tax?

Why is does a tax exist in a video game with fake money? Is there any reason at all other than screw with traders? I mean selling a player for 698k and losing around 38k on tax is annoying.

For the record I have known that tax is in the game since I started playing (Fifa 15) just haven’t thought about it before

You buy a player for 1000 coins and sell for 1100 coins. Repeat repeat repeat and before you know it everyone is 500k+
Exaggeration but you get the point.

Then you would still have inflation

Whilst it's there to stop inflation the simple fact of the matter is that price ranges on the cards in question should/could control inflation.

No it wouldnt because any desired card would go straight to its cap so they would have to then increase it or just essentially let certain cards be extinct

Tax doesn't stop that happening now though

if they were going to lower price ranges that would be nice maybe make some higher end cards more affordable prices are crazy this year but then they would have to increase pack weights for higher rated players so that cards would not go extinct and we all know ea would not do that since it would hurt their pockets.

just some of the prices this year literally make non sense. UCL cards for example get pushed to 20k for crappy cards so people stop selling then ea bumps price ranges again so people sell but now you have tons of useless UCL cards that are 40-50k just for sbcs and that plus one boost is not a huge difference. like icardi base is 20k but a plus one inform is 130k lol

The market would be an absolute mess similar to fifa 15 before price ranges with pele , toty Ron and gullit extinct at 15 million, and players like normal Messi would be 10 mill without the tax. All you would have to do is buy a ton of players at a good time of day and list overnight and make big profit it would be too easy to make coins.

Price ranges are not to cap prices for the market it’s to stop cheating. If anything a higher tax would be nice then players would be cheaper.

Just don't list at max or you'll get banned :p

5% tax is perfect , any more and it would hit trading and make the game more pay to win.

it's stupid that you get banned for selling at max, they should adjust their price ranges properly as soon as a SBC comes out.

But does tax also raise prices, I mean I bought Puyol at 655k and to make some profit when I sold him I had to list him much higher, without the tax I wouldn’t have had to put him up for that amount
