Clarification about SWAP deals

Can anyone please confirm whether you can use the October swap players for future swap deals, or they only apply to October swap deals? I've collected 11, apparently I've missed 2 because on Futbin I can see 13. I suppose there's gonna be one more before the end of the SBCs, so I still have a chance to get Lallana, but just in case I miss it I want to know if I should spend my current players on packs, or wait for the next series of deals.

I don't think you can use them later, but EA haven't really been very clear on the rules.
