Help! Stuck in Game Menu and cannot rejoin the Match!

I am currently playing Squad Battles on XBOX One and leading 3-0.
At Half-Time I go to make a Sub, and first of all I can't Sub a player On:
I press A on my Right Back Ricardo Pereira to swap with Thomas Meunier and it doesn't make the change?
I then press B to go back to the Resume Match Menu and nothing happens and I am now stuck on this Squad/Formations/Tactics/Instructions/Roles Menu with no way of resuming the Match?
I have also swapped XBOX One Controllers and the same issue continues.
(i) Has anyone experienced this?
(ii) Is there a work around for this?
