Anyone used the new formation if so what's it like? Can imagine it's good going forward but what's it like when defending

I’ve played against it with a 4-4-1-1, possession style and when they pressed me it was easy to counter. I really wanna try it myself, both cm’s on stay back while attacking should work. I’m so used to 1 striker formations though.

How's 4411 in the game? I can't seem to settle on a formation

Really enjoy it myself. I like the slow possession build up, player positioning, instructions work well. Takes the right players too, bc my first team didn’t work as well as the one I’m using now. I usually play 433-2 but that hasn’t worked for me yet. Jefferson Lerma and Fredy Guarin in center mid have been perfect for me, real engines of the team. Can’t see myself changing formations for a while now. Got a squad for 4411 yet?

I've been using it exclusively for the two days now. I really like it, I am just not that experienced with wing play, but once I figure that out I feel like it's going to unlock the game. I wouldn't press with it imo. I use Drop Back and I get so many interceptions. I have one formation preset to go extra wide. I have one preset to play possession. I have one with pressing in case they try to play possession and can't pass the ball up field quickly. And then I have one preset with basic. If your opponents don't respect you playing through the middle it's open all day. And when they do shut down the middle you have burners on the outside. I have one preset as 41212 just in case they go extra wide to mix it up and force them to go narrow.

I'd make sure you have two strikers with decent speed, but more importantly great shooting and decent potential for headers. Your outside players need to be straight burners. It would also be helpful if they had one or more crossing/dribbling/shooting/heading but pace trumps all of that. For midfielders I have one stay back and the other get forward. Make sure both have good if not great passing, because they are going to be the ones getting the ball up to the strikers or through to the wingers.
