Wolves and Newcastle cancel each other out in a hard fought goalless draw
    mMZoVaF.png

Jardim comments on the previous two fixtures, "What a game we had against Spurs, we put on such a strong performance in the first half to take a 2 goal lead, we looked in control and Poch just changed things up. We were not prepared for it and couldn't contain it unfortunately, Dele looked amazing and a hatrick coming off the bench is something to be very proud of".

Newcastle record third clean sheet in a row as they get the points against Huddersfield

The Magpie Channel talked with several fans after the FA Cup victory and he is what one had to say, "It's an amazing feeling we have reached the quarter-finals of this competition for the first time in over 10 years, 12 to be exact, we are one game away from a big day out in Wembley and this is something nobody could have imagined a few months ago. Jardim and the new owners have brought such a feel good factor to the club now, it's a pleasure to watch them, I hope we can finish the season strong and continue this cup run because us fans need this".

What a game for Dele, he seems to always play well against Newcastle so it is interesting to see that carry over into the video game.

Huge win over Leicester, what a story it would be to win the FA cup during Jardims first season. You should be favorites over Brighton in the next round.

The up and downs continue. Newcastle have a game in hand and, if things go well, the team may jump several positions, but relegation remains too near.

Thankfully the team advance at the FA Cup and reached the quarter-finals.

Also interesting to see the move to sign Lozano. It would be a fantastic addition for this team.

FA Cup Success and not getting relegated and this season is considered a great one.

I find it a bit odd that Wolves have the third lowest GD but is placed 11th. :|

What a signing Lozano would be if you could pull that off the results are actually good Wolves are a good side and beating Leicester is brilliant considering where they are in the league

Oh man, Lozano to Newcastle would be a major coup. That kid is gonna get paid in the next year if he keeps doing what he’s been doing.

Yeah up and downs and so the fight against relegation will continue. It's a strange table with Everton sitting on top and Liverpool, despite being +15 on GD, are only 9th. It's important for Newcastle to win the crucial games against teams like Huddersfield. So they did which should boost the confidence.

Lozano at Newcastle? Damn would be great to see. If someone could make it happen it should be Slim then.

Was pretty fortunate to get Brighton in the draw, so maybe FA Cup could be the path to Europe. However Newcastle is still close to the relegation line. Wonder if a team has ever won a cup final but still got relegated in the league.

Wigan is the only FA Cup winner to be relegated. There have, however been five teams that lost the FA Cup final and were relegated: Manchester City (1926), Leicester City (1969), Brighton & Hove Albion (1983), Middlesbrough (1997) and Portsmouth (2010).

(according to Google, I was curious too so did a quick lookup.)

Yeah Dele was unstoppable on the day and no offence to Brighton but we should be guaranteed a spot in the semi finals now

Yup relegation leaks in the shadows ready to swallow me up if things go wrong, Lozano is someone I really like and having a Mexican owner maybe could mean he has a bit of influence on convincing him to come here

Yeah I think the situation with Wolves is they are getting beat by 2 or 3 goals but only winning by 1 goal, weird to see this happen consistently though

Yeah Leicester were a tough challenge for us so it's great to get through that and now an easier team in Brighton are next and the only thing stopping us from going to Wembley in the semi finals, would be massive for the club

Nothing done yet for Lozano but talks are ongoing, the owner and Jardim want to get it done but does Lozano want to come?!

Everton have had an incredible season so far, I think they will eventually drop off a bit towards the end but if they manage a top 4 finish still then fair game

Let's hope it doesn't come to that haha, top 7 looks far off so the path to Europe if it's ever going to happen would be an FA Cup win, very tough though

Newcastle kick off March with a comfortable victory at the London Stadium

League leaders Chelsea narrowly beat Jardim's men

Atsu scores late equaliser to secure point against high flying Everton
    ii3ywlB.png

Alan Shearer talks on MOTD on Newcastle's first 3 games in March, "A mixed bag of results but considering the teams the guys did great, the win against the Hammers was very much needed to avoid a scrap in the relegation zone, they need to keep beating these teams. Then Chelsea the favourites for the title now, looked incredible but Newcastle didn't make it easy for them and gave them a game, unlucky to come out with the loss in the end and to finish off with a late equaliser against Everton showed the heart these guys have, something that Benitez couldn't get out of them for some reason. I have no doubt they will finish around mid-table this season avoid any kind of relegation scrap".

The Magpies shock Arsenal at the Emirates with an incredible 3-1 victory
    7IQucOh.png

Jardim comments on the preview 3 results, "The Burnley game was very disappointing and I take some blame into that, I made too many changes and it didn't pay off in this game, we had an massive FA Cup fixture 3 days later and needed our best team out there and that costs us this league game unfortunately, as for the FA Cup results well the guys turned up and delivered and now we reach a Wembley date next month against Liverpool, this will be the biggest game of the season for us so we are looking forward to that. Finally ending the month at the Emirates was always going to be difficult but the lads didn't show that they got stuck in against an Arsenal side that lacks confidence it seems and we put them away especially between 70-80 minutes".

It will be interesting to see who Jardim brings in in the summer. Will he raid Monaco or maybe France excited to see. The team had a stunning result vs Arsenal especially but the home loss to Burnley must hurt

Glad to see you have enough integrity not to throw that game with Arsenal. :D
Newcastle have some breathing room, but it's all-in against Liverpool. Should be a good match.

I think Newcastle are safe from relegation now. But they can't lose focus on the league while looking towards the FA cup, get to 43 points and the team will be safe.

    3364 posts National Call-Up
As the season reach the final dates, Newcastle seems to leave the ghost of relegation behind, even though it's not done yet. Usually 40 points are enough... maybe Jardim's team doesn't even need to reach this point, but as soon as you get there much better. Then the team can focus in the objective at this point of the season: The FA Cup. It would be a great end to win this title, so good luck against Liverpool.

Finally some breathing room. Will be interesting to see how Liverpool lines up. 9 points out of 4th, they might be eyeing the FA cup more than anything else at this point.

Good to see the 6point margin towards relegation zone. NUFC are sitting in a comfortable situation now to stay in the league. And then the top got shaken up a bit. Everton couldn't hold up the pace and dropped deep from 1st to 4th.
