Loftus Cheek and Rashford aren't great. Sterling, Sancho and Kane should be the starting 3. Maybe Dele in behind. Would like to see Ox back.

Pity NI couldn’t take one of those big chances. Would have been a nice win

I was going to say that Sterling’s finishing is awful, until I realised that I was about to suggest replacing him with Rashford.
    Granted, I still might.

So I just saw the highlights to the Spain game and people seem to be giving DDG a hard time for that final goal.

Can someone tell me exactly what DDG was supposed to do there? He saves the ball and pushes it to the side like every GK is trained to do. He can’t help that Spain’s defense is arguably worse than United’s. Busquets is standing there doing nothing.

It’s not a huge mistake but he messed up in the buildup then followed that up with basically standing beside the post. It’s his positioning that was the problem. If he’d been more central he would have a better chance at pushing it wider/holding it

How was his positioning an issue? Why should he have been more central when the shot is coming from his right side? That makes absolutely no sense. That’s how you get beat near post. He did everything right with that save. The defense has to take responsibility for completely ball watching and letting the Croatian attackers get between them and the goal.

Yes, DDG hasn’t been as good since the WC as he was last season, no denying that. But he’s certainly no where near as bad as people are trying to make him out to be.

Hahaha he literally said Scholes was the best player he’d ever played with...

The question was who was the best player you played with, WITH ENGLAND and he said Gerrard.

Who do you rate higher, Xavi/Iniesta or Lampard/Gerrard? Not going to include Scholes fodder in this

First thing you’ve said that’s correct. Scholes is better than all 4.

Okay. So playing with England. Scholes is English. Why not say Scholes?

Lovren fits in Liverpool so much. His greatest achievement is elbowing Ramos and he's so proud of it.
