Missed the fight but had a feeling if GGG didn't steam roll him judges would Rob him. One of the main reasons this sport is failing. It is so corrupted it's laughable.

Yep, you get the odd strange decision in MMA but it's much rarer.

GGG landed 32 more punches but Canelo had a higher % for punches landed total, jabs and power punches and landed 27 more power punches. Looking at their faces after the fight GGG for sure looked more messed up. Am I missing something? Why is there so much outrage

did you watch the fight tho ? I don't know how canelo took some of those punches.. GGG losing his power ?
As much as I wanted GGG you can't really call a close fight a "robbery". Judging is always subjective so to leave it with one or two rounds in the balance you expect it to go either way.
I do however think the champion should, and usually does, have an advantage here.
To be the champ, you really do have to beat the champ or the decision won't usually go your way. Got to feel for GGG.

Their guy didn't win, so they are upset, it's the same after most big boxing matches that go to the scorecards. A draw would've been fair but it wasn't a shady decision like in their last fight.
I thought it was a great back and forth fight that could've gone either way. It was a far better spectacle than their last bout.
Unfortunately, I knew that regardless of who got the nod that the decision would ultimately be the main talking point once again. It's a shame because it was one of the better big fights of recent years in which both guys left it all in there and were still swinging come the final bell.
The way I see it I don't think it was a robbery as it was a very close fight but the first one was definitely a robbery in the fact one judge gave Canelo 118-110. Last night was close but GGG edged it. Up to Round 6 IMO both were 3-3. Canelo won Round 7 and then from 8-11 GGG took all 4 rounds. Round 12 was close I'd say Canelo won that but there's controversy in that about GGG winning the last too. It's very fine margins but when you see that out of the 2 fights GGG didn't win one even both it makes me wonder. GGG is a warrior and in my eyes is still undefeated.
I'd like someone to show me how I'm wrong and Canelo actually won last night. I scored it 115-113 to GGG.
How are you giving Canelo Round 11. Even the judges managed to agree on that GGG won that round I do agree with you thought that majority rounds were very close but I think Canelo winning 2nd and GGG winning the 4th and 11th is clear. @Reus

Whoops
I wrote the last two the wrong way round

Everyone is judging it differently and there’s a mixed bag of opinions but this definitely means the fight should’ve been a draw more than the last one. The first one GGG won we should agree but to say GGG lost the second one that’s just not right. GGG should still be an undefeated fighter.
But it was a tremendous fight and respect to Canelo who’s one of my favourite fighters.

Ggg won the first fight and got robbed
But for some bizarre reason people seem to have taken that into this fight and seem to think golovkin was owed a decision this time
For me it was either a canelo win or a draw, the one round I didn't immediately write a name down was round 3, so in hindsight I should've scored it 10-10 as I couldn't make up my mind. In fact I just looked and all 3 judges gave canelo that round
That would make it
115-114 to canelo
Or 115-113 if I went with what the judges scored
Either way it was a great fight between two closely matched guys, golovkin did well to pull it back from the brink in rounds 9-11

Feel bad for GGG, thought he won both fights tbh.
But yeah, boxing judges seem to always favour the young, moneymaker if it goes to decision.

Boxing judges are pathetic

Kinda feel bad for GGG for his legacy has been tainted by dubious officiating. Everyone wants a 3rd fight but does GGG want to get robbed again?
One of the best fights in years and it has been tainted by poor judges.
