Ramos is such an overrated defender. He should be a CDM. He would be class joining in attack and he wouldn’t have the same pressure as a CB in defense. He’s an absolute liability. Shame that his goals get him mentioned with the likes of Chiellini and Godin. Defensively, he’s a tier below. I would say that Varane, Pique, Umtiti and Godin are all much better defensively. He has hat clutch gene though.

He played as LB/RB but I guess that as a CDM Carvajal, Modric, or Marcelo would do a better job.

He’s great at passing the ball though. He’s very good at completing long passes and plays good short passes as well. He rarely gives a bad ball away. Marcelo is another woeful defender, but great attacker. Real Madrid gave up a ton of goals last year because of that duo. Marcelo’s flank was exposed by everyone and Ramos was always out of position or giving away stupid fouls (the biggest of which didn’t even get called). If he played for any other team, he would’ve had about 15 red cards last year lol

You are right about his long pass, he has an amazing long pass. Not like Xavi Alonso but good for a defender.
I just don't see him moving to the next line of players like Marcelo. Marcelo pretty often leave behind or dribble forward players but I don't see that ability in Ramos.
Great player, to me he is the best defender. Not as disciplined as Godin or technical as Chiellini but as Capitan he knows how to manage the team to win games.
