What’s the difference between England and Viagra?

Viagra can get you past a semi.

I don't get how professional players think you can kick off when the all players of the other team are off the field. It's a made up rule ffs

I can feel my quality of life improving not having to see 1000 threads about something coming back or whatever the phrase is. Things are looking up.

Basically a load of foreigners reading too much English media and social media then assuming we are all arrogant enough to believe we are going to win the World Cup.. the trouble with all this is we never really see town centres in other countries or read much of their social media so everyone just assumes the English are the only fans who have people getting carried away.

Arrogance is when the manager comes out with statements like "You can mark down 25th June 1978 as the day Scottish football conquers the world".

Or should that just be "delusion"? :D

I guess it also helps that the main place they get this is from here which is an English forum so has a lot of English fans on.. and its very hard to gauge tone of a post in regards to whether its just banter or whether its serious.

Also Sarcasm is very much a British trait, which doesnt excuse the bitter and twisted Jocks but may excuse others from not getting the humour.

England are the Millwall of International football. No one likes us, we really don't care. In fact, we enjoy it. Hate all you like, most football loving Englishmen have had one of the best summers we've had for quite some time whilst everyone else has sat there miserable as anything absolutely fuming we're enjoying ourselves.

All that matters is the country enjoys it tbh.. I can't say what has made me more proud.. How triggered everyone seems to get about the 'It's coming home' banter or how well England actually did for once.

Sounds about right, we get stick when we don't do well and we get stick when we do, I think we're all pretty used to it by now though

Why would you be proud about triggering other people?

And England didn’t exactly do well did they? They got knocked out in the semis by the first average side they played after beating the dog & duck in previous games :joy:

The facts are simple, last World Cup we were out in the groups, the last Euro's we got beat by Iceland, leading up to this tournament we have had pretty much 20 years of pathetic Football, so who we played to get to the semi final is completely irrelevant, we got there and enjoyed it.

The only people who didnt enjoy it are bitter cranks like you.

Its also quite laughable how on one hand you say Englands players are all over hyped rubbish then on the other say we only got to the Semis by beating poor teams, surely by your logic we are also a poor team.. this is like the worst example of trolling ive ever witnessed on this forum.

Didn't exactly do well? 4 teams out of 32 didn't get to the Semi's.

Spouting nonsense as if getting to a semi-final of any competition is an easy feat

It can be an easy feat depending on the circumstances. Or should be, anyway.

Being the last 4 in any major competition is not easy whatsoever.

In Englands case, either you are underestimating the teams they have come up against or you are overestimating how good they are
