I was thinking of brazil but after seeing their first 2 games, I’m not sure if they can win it all.

How about you guys?

I obviously want England to win lol. But after the first two games none of the favourites have impressed me. Even Belgium look shaky at the back. Croatia look insane though, might the year for a dark horse.

Yeah we have our favourites but after watching some of their games, we might say that “wow, croatia might really win this thing!”

I was really betting on brazil but now i’m not confident if i can get bonus money by the end of world cup lol

I think Uruguay have the best spine in the World Cup. They won’t concede goals, but have 2 world class strikers. Could go all the way

I did have France, Germany, Brazil and Spain to reach semis. Difficult to tell, as quite a few of the winners often had a shaky start to the tournament. Didn't Spain lose their first game in WC 2010?

I said France before the World Cup started, will stick with that decision, even though they haven't been convincing. It's really difficult to call a winner.

Lol. Haha come on Brazil :p but yeah, Croatia have proved that a top quality midfield is essential. They look really really good and that's down to Modric and Rakitic.

I said Spain with Belgium as dark horses. Haven't changed my mind.

Uruguay, Croatia and Us look like we can go far though, wouldn't back against Uruguay in particular if they can get to the semi finals.

I had France down to win originally and I think they still can, except they need to start taking games seriously and not just relying on 1 goal advantages to get them through each round. I also think England have a good chance. Not been that impressed given they've played arguably two of the worst teams in the tournament, but they potentially have a really easy ride to the semis at which point anything can happen.

Let's see when KOs hit as that's when teams know they have to turn up. But Germany have not looked convincing and, they might end up going out.

I think they've actually been really unlucky. Both games so far the opposition has sat back and hit on the counter to score. Germany, however, commit men forward and are struggling to find the end product - basically all shots going straight at the keeper. I think it's just jitters for the first games. Once they hit the knockout stages they will likely have stronger opposition that will try and match them for skill rather than sit back and defend.

Well teams that play Germany sit back as they know it's the best way to beat a strong German side. If they can't find a way to counter a sit back tactic then they will go out very soon.

I mean they clearly have since they beat Sweden, but the point is that it's small teams that will play for the counter as it's a risky tactic.

still think brazil will win it.

I think they will if they ditch Neymar. Hes obviously not fully fit - and with him in the team everyone just seems to try and give him the ball, while he tries to do it all himself.

Maybe later on hell come good as his fitness improves, but I think they have got to go with Costa on the right for the next couple of games.

But it's working. So many smaller teams are doing great because they're learning how to stop the big nations.

I cant see France winning. They have been VERY lucky to get the results they have, and while any team needs a little luck in a tournament, I think they have used theres too early. When it matters that luck will desert them and they will loose.

This is why I love this WC. No one has looked convincing enough to win. Apart from the nation's like Belgium and Croatia who no one thought would win it.

Not convinced with Belgium yet. They seem susceptible at the back and havent faced anyone of any quality yet - ditto England.

If I had to pin my colours now, it would be either Croatia or Uruguay.
