At pro level if a half decent player decides to "manage" the game you can't do anything to press him because the game doesn't allow it.

We've all been there in that situation, needing to comeback and having ultra attacking on dpad but team playing like turtles and playing park the bus refusing to move their bodies up the field

Time wasting is against the rules at these tournaments on paper. It isn’t enforced. See unilad basically getting match fixed out of the club World Cup. So they don’t enforce time wasting. It’s allowed. Yet they disqualify dr erhano because you aren’t allowed to rage quit on stream. If it’s off stream it’s allowed. But EA don’t want to be embarrassed so they’re making up and changing rules as they go. Maybe the best way for them to not be embarrassed is not make an embarrassing game.

He just quit because he was losing. His opponent was playing fairly and the game was playing fairly. He was just a sore loser

He quit cus he had a man sent off , missed a pen and hit the post a few times , and was just chasing shadows with one man down , the other geeza without attacking to much was justknocking it about , not the right this to do in this situation imo

HIs opponent was timewasting for around an entire half too. Clearly breaking the tourney's own rules but EA let it slide again.

So the guy on the left had a player sent off (It shows 2 reds but that's a visual bug) so naturally time wasted for a lot of the match.
The rage quitter couldn't get anywhere near the ball because his opponent would just keep switching the play. Unless the opponent makes a mistake it's virtually impossible to get the ball back.

If EA want this to continue as an eSport then they need to make it so everything is on manual.

Why should time wasting be against any rules??. It done in real life barca pass the ball the whole game most times. EA should make team pressure more effective?
I don't see anything wrong with keeping the ball, if it's really against the rules then it's stupid.

They are not passing the ball around for 90 mins. After about 30 passes they shoot.

Because for pro players it's too easy in the game by exploiting mechanics that make it impossible to get the ball off a player. And it's not like he did it for a brief instant, it was literally his entire strategy for a half. If you want to use real life as an example, when has that ever happened? Furthermore, the game only allows you to press with 2 or 3 players at most (depending on your pressure tactics) and that's not enough when he can pass it around his whole midfield and defensive line.

That's the whole reason EA added a whole clause about timewasting into their official rules manual. We're not complaining about seeing out a game in the last few minutes here, we're talking about a guy who timewasted for an entire half with no intention of attacking. But yeah, apparently comparing a 15min computer game where so much is AI dependent to a 90min real game makes sense.

If it wasn’t against the rules in most cases it would be first goal wins.

In Fifa you can’t control all your players. There’s absolutely no way you can man mark every player. In real life you can.. pressure enough and the team will be forced to pass back to the GK to punt it out.

You could go 100 pressure and aggression, go ultra attacking, spamming offside trap and still see your players pinned down in their own half by that sort of possession play when IRL pressing teams go after the balls so hard. Then again, can you imagine how OP it would be if you do everything at once and it ties into autodefending?

Think the only real way to counter this is to force the pro's to play on full manual. The assisted passing is the only reason he could hold the ball that well under constant pressure.

Thank god the Pros are doing this..FIFA is not an E-Sport, FIFA is not a football game, it's not even a good video game. Such a shame the developers of this game doesn't know how to make a video game/their job, I would love to be in their position, winning money for doing nothing.

I agree with it being Manual. Actually, I think manual settings should be auto-default in the WL.

You know this game is so **** when you get 2 RQ in 2 Live Events. There's no point on having these type of forums since we don't have any type of communication between us and EA.

Checked his twitter. He didn't get the 1000$ price money either.
And he said you only get a warning when you quit off-stream
but get disqualified on-stream for the same thing. Brilliant by EA.

I'm on the loser side though... time wasting for an entire half is unnaceptable...
