Would be a big no even if he was working for free.

How do spend 600M and fall 19 points short? All while boring everyone in to a coma playing glorified Tony Pulis football. To make it worse many of those players have had their value drop significantly.

Just a no imo - if he’d won the FA Cup id have said yes tbh, he has won a European trophy and a League Cup, but he is a win now manager rather than building for the future so if he doesn’t win anything in a season then he has failed.

    Not even slightly.

The 3 trophies (if you can even call them that) were all won in such a bumbling manner.

He won the Charity Shield courtesy of an offside goal.

He won the League Cup after Southampton were robbed of a perfectly valid goal. Hull were also robbed in the previous round, so the final should have been Southampton vs Hull.

He won the Europa League in probably the most unconvincing way I've ever seen a Manager win a Cup, stumbling the whole way there against literal farmers and milkmen in what must have been the easiest run to a EL final I have ever witnessed in my entire life.

This season was an utter failure. Top 4 finish, that's it. After all that money spent...

Got slapped in the Super Cup against a poor Real Madrid

Slapped in the FA Cup final against a team in 5th.

Crashed out of the CL early doors against a midtable La Liga team

Crushed by a lower League team in the EFL Cup

On top of that, his signings have been catastrophic, overall.

Pogba has underwhelmed, mostly, and there's been a falling out
Mkhitaryan was horrendous and was pushed out in the end
Bailly is injured all the time and has recently been frozen out
    Lindelof was completely pointless
Lukaku got a laughable 16 PL goals
Zlatan lasted less than one season
Sanchez is the worst transfer I've seen in a while

Matic was the only one that could be considered a very good signing and even he is getting on a bit now.

I mean, come on, that's all absolutely horrendous.

The best part? Mourinho's trademark 3rd season implosion is still to come.

Id say he’s justified his wage with the silverware he’s brought in. The style isn’t the greatest but you don’t get a trophy for “attacking football” and getting to finals , you get the trophies for winning those finals which apart from the game vs chelsea he has won. Funnily enough when mourinho has implied similar tactics that chelsea used against us against opposing teams certain fans never claimed their team got “slapped” like they imply United did

16 goals Is laughable for a player in his first season at a new club ? :joy:

Yeah, even that relic donkey Zlatan scored more and he only played two thirds of the season :D

You do realize that Firmino got one fewer right? If Lukaku flopped, so did Bobby.

First of all, Bobby isn't our finisher. He isn't even a striker.

Second of all, in all comps, Bobby has a majestic 27 goals and 16 assists. A sum of 8 contributions more than Lukaku, without even being our main outlet :D (That's Salah, with 58 :))

Wait hold up. Lukakus 16 PL goals are laughable but when someone gives you the stats that Bobby has less PL goals you have to swap it to goals and assists in all comps

Not at all, that was just a “secondly” fact.

Firmino should be compared to the likes of De Bruyne.

As far as importance goes, definitely. But they play differently to one another.

    Nope.

    Spot the odd one out.

Funnily enough when mourinho has implied similar tactics that chelsea used against us against opposing teams certain fans never claimed their team got “slapped” like they imply United did

No one actually thinks Chelsea slapped you. I'm just taking the ❤️❤️❤️❤️ out of @Retro_G

Fact is Firmino and De Bruyne's maps are remarkably similar.

But firmino has a heat map like KDB’s so that puts an end to your theory.
