Worst part? Played dozens of seasons with different players and formations that I like. After dropping from 2 to 4, finally tried 41212(2) for first time this year with the cheapest BPL squad I could (Begovic highest rated)

Won back to back titles to get to 2 and now gone to 1. Such a shame the options to be successful are so limited this year.

Yeah maybe its just you. Because I can hold division 1 with 4-2-3-1, 4-3-1-2 & 3-4-1-2

Yeah i can play different formations and have No problems promote to division 1. lowest rated card 84 in My squad to.

I always play 4-4-2.. but after switching to 4-3-1-2 I went up to division one aswell.

Been trying a lot of different formations in div 1 lately, as I usually do around this time with cheaper squads after selling for tots.

3421 and 3412 most fun to use. Even tried the 5212 but felt worse defensively than anything else I've tried, granted I didn't park the bus. Funny thing was I played a high line and high aggression with it yet by defence would continue to drop back to the keepers lap at times.

Can't quite get the 4231 working as well as I did in 17. Best for me are 41212 and 4321 unfortunately but I do think when I buy back my team plus some nice tots cards I'll just run 3421 and have fun.

41212 is overpowered I agree. And so are those cheap EPL teams. However I play 4222, with CR7 and 5 icons and I do win the div 1 title every time I play season, so it can be done easily without using that system and those players.

41212 narrow works well even with cheap op team.

I've been rolling with 442, my favorite this year so far. But you kinda need the absolute best midfielders for that, otherwise it's very difficult
