Anyone been watching?

Just tuned in and the 20km walking final is on, can't believe it's a recognised sport. Reminds me of this:

You'd be surprised how hard that sport actually is. Iirc there are very strict rules

It must be so tempting just to start running.

To be fair, it also is hard to believe this Event is still a thing, so in a way it is a perfect match o:)

The race walk is ridiculously technical. I volunteered at the World Athletics championships last summer and the race walk was one of my events. After 12 hours of it I barely understood the basics of i's rules.:joy: What amazed me is in the 50k race walk the leader did a marathon in just over 3 hours. I couldn't run a marathon in that time...

I've currently got addicted to Lawn Bowls. It's like curling but warmer. It's the first sport I've ever seen that, if I spent enough time, I could become an Olympian in.

It's fun though. I remember playing it with my grandparents when I was younger.

Been great to watch so far. Friend from my gym and town picked up a weightlifting gold and two others I’ve known through competing and chat to from time to time both picked up silvers

It's a comedy about bowls, a lad in his 20s gets into competitive bowls and shakes up the international lawn bowls scene and becomes the bad boy of British bowls. :joy:
