Well this just happened
Opened up a new account on PS4 as I was sick of the delay and lag. The game is now playing soo much smoother. Even smoother than my previous account when I did get the occasional game where it didn't lag. My belief is now it's account related something to do with origin! Anyway first sbc I completed for 8k and I pack De Gea. Not the best but it's a good start.

Yh because yours wasn't corrupted. I've been searching around on the web and some accounts are corrupted between origin syncing PS4 and FIFA servers or something along those lines. So I decided to give it a go and tbh the games much better. Soo much smoother. Played 14 today won 13 lost 1 which my opponent was far better than me anyway. All lag and delay free.
Not at all, just feels much more free flowing. I'm not playing seasons anyway. Already qualified for weekend league with a 82 rated basic serie a team with icardi as my best player. I was struggling like mad qualifying with an 88 rated team with 6 icons and 5 informs because of the input delay.
you should be alternating between one account and the other, build the same teams on both accounts and have the same team name so you can't tell in game. Then have a friend/your little brother blind you to which team you're using, and give each game a subjective "smoothness of play" score based on how you feel about each.
That's the only way to have any faith in what your experiencing. It could be so many things, but most likely it's confirmation bias, meaning you tend to give the most weight to instances which confirm your expectation (@Mackie17 was saying the same thing, although I've never heard the term "strawman prophecy")
You are clearly a very clever chap. Can you explain how your account is corrupted and therefore has an inferior connection?
OP probably saw a YouTube video on corrupt accounts. Don't worry mate your account isn't corrupted at any time of the week

I mean, I suppose you could get corrupt database entries due to memory leakage or that, but if this guy can identify an issue like that, purely by playing a couple of games of Fifa, I want him in my company!
Then if I change to my main account ( the laggy one, created 2012) still laggyng as f****, on the same PS4 and same connection.
I also believe there is something about corrupted accounts....

I did the exact same test a while ago with my and my sons accounts. His was fluid and responsive while my was laggy and unresponsive and pestered with all kind of BS (gameplay wise)...same system, same ISP, same internet conection (and in all fut modes: seasons, singles, WL and tournaments included)...
What exactly is causing this to happen then? My new account 62 games played. Yup 30 games a day

Should be something else because obviously there a lot of players even with Fut Founders account and have no problems.
If you have a corrupted account you get lag offline too. It’s nothing to do with online connection it’s a problem with how it connects your origin profile. You still get delay on WL without it but the gameplay is totally different. There’s a way around it but it takes ages and you have to do
It each time you want to play. It does exist just be thankful you don’t experience it.
