Is birthday Rooney an end game card?

I might just grab rvp and schweini as free 88’s instead of spending 40k to get that rooney card and use him in sbc

Rooney is 90 rated...but still a 90 rated for 35 k is decent
Oh Mb, cheapest 90 rated is 65k so still saving some coins.
But you’ll use all your st. Patty cards.. what if, just what if, EA asks for patty cards in future sbc’s like kaka?
If you just want sbc fodder, then get rvp and schweini and you’ll still have 2 more st. Patty cards
Even though I've only used Rooney for 6 games I honestly think it's a good card. He's definitely staying in my EPL fun squad, but he has no chance of getting into my main squad. At ST he has no chance of replacing ADP and Crispo. At CAM I've got Suarez. At CM I've got Rui Costa and Matthaus, and at CDM I have Maldini. Haha Rooney won't even make the bench, where I've got Lozano, Alessandrini and IF Allan.
Long range shooting is very good too. I like him and sold OTW Lukaku who was my precious striker, but you might find you need a bit of pace next to him or on the wings. I like a strong ST and can’t be doing with these tiny wingers as strikers.
On to futbin squad building with 2 88’s then
If he costs 40k that means you have 25k value left in him. We then need to subtract the value of RVP who can be done for free.
As you can see RVP will be better for SBC’s.
I did Rooney myself and he is pretty good. In my B team currently but thinking of moving him to a cm in my a team.

Game-play wise Rooney is not an impact player and neither is Yaya. They do the Job but that's about it. Basically what I mean is that from the CAM/ST spot Rooney's goal contribution is hovering about 1 per match, which many players in Fifa do. His dribbling and medium attacking work-rate kinda hamper him a bit and he gets his shot blocked quite a bit, which i lend to his body type and lack of high agility when shooting, this even when trying him with different Chem. styles.
Yaya is basically an average CM and even though he has good strength and passing other players have that and with TOTS coming up you will find players that are diamonds in the rough.
Essentially both are worth it in terms of value but dont offer anything extraordinary in Futchamps/Div 1.
How many of the base icon SBC did you have to complete? These kind of posts make it really hard to resist doing another one
I only did one @Wooly1203.. i was actually very open to the fact that i have limited coins because i just recently finished prime ronaldinho.. but i love taking risks so instead of getting nif neymar with my spare coins, i finished the base icon sbc with schweini to cut costs..
