What a player Hudson Odoi is

He started poorly in that half tbf, I was wondering if this start had come a bit soon for him (said in another thread), but fair play to him he massively improved in the latter stages of that half, was very good then

Only saw from half an hour in, so from what I’ve seen he’s been sick

Ah yeah he definitely started slowly, but in fairness most of them did. The team needed to move the ball a lot quicker. He improved massively though, was very impressive later in the half like you say

Yeah I did notice that tbf. Good to see him find a way to get things going when it wasn't working for him

Don’t England qualify anyway if they win the Nations League?

    Yeah.

Well you can qualify the hard way then, the Nations League is Portugal’s

I know I said this squad was awful (mainly because of the centre midfield and defence selections), but we're really not far away from having a squad that can actually win things. Great depth on the wings and up front, fantastic full backs and pretty decent centre backs. Midfield is still the main weakness, but we do have some young central midfielders that could make it. Could really do with Phil Foden progressing fast in time for 2020 Euros. Still lacking a creative midfielder.

Foden should leave like Sancho he's not getting meaningful minutes in that City team.

Rose over Shaw and Delph over Maddison are absolute jokes. Both should be in the squad, far better than who Southgate picked

    And Trippier over AWB. Ridiculous.

How Maddison and AWB isn't in the squad is beyond me.

Maddison definitely should have been in over Delph or Redmond. The other one probably just sneaked in because of RLC's injury.

    Redmond :D

We discussed the issues with the bigger squad, this is just trimming that squad down for the Nations League matches.

I'd have kept one of Winks or Ward-Prowse instead of Delph, but I get Winks is coming back from injury so that might be why. Other than that the right players dropped to trim the squad size

    Pickford
    Walker - Stones - Maguire - Chilwell
    Rice
    Barkley - Delph
    Sancho - Rashford - Sterling

Harry Winks for Delph and you've got our best starting 11. Great team

It doesn't say it in the tweet but Sterling is captain tonight. Good decision imo
