Would you play FUT Champs religiously if it was a ladder system?

So I just had a very drunk, very long bus drive and it just hit me that I banged on about FUT Champs being a (week long) ladder system for months, but would I actually play it? I see many people wanting FUT Champs having a proper competitive system like any other eSport, but then I also see many people not caring about any competitive game mode and just wanting the fun back in FUT (tourneys, being able to use silvers successfullyand so on).
So would you actually play FUT Champs if it was a "proper" competitive system or do you simply not care and just want tourneys and fun back?
As many of you might have seen my solution to making "lesser" players viable again is to either make stats irrelvant again (silvers being able to finish chances no problem) or to give out massive and useful stat upgrades during promos (if we can't have the non rare Draxler god back and stats matter give us a shiny Draxler with 99 longshots instead). Or give us skill and WF upgrades (Ronaldo is meta? Cool, give us a Harry Kane with 5* WF and 85 pace as a scream card who scares his opponents). FUT is an arcade game mode after all and with chemstyles boosting stats up to +15 (it's proven, don't argue about them not working) it lost all connection to reality anyways so might as well go full arcade again.

The way it is now is a mess
Just follow something like Overwatch and how they deal with their competitive mode. It's not hard
I can grind out Gold 3 or Gold 2 every weekend but do I enjoy it? Nope. EA would need to fix the gameplay and I might be interested but the community is always going to be ❤️❤️❤️❤️ in my opinion so the format won't matter.
The community is only going to get worse I’m afraid.
It’s split between older players who used to play PES in their bedroom with their mates for bragging rights and nothing more, and younger people who have grown up playing mainly online and watching screaming self entitled you-tubers.
As the old guard die off, all you’re left with is whining people who think they deserve to win every game. Just hop over to GD and you’ll see about 10 moan threads on the first page.
I guess in a ladder system, the perception would be that I would more than likely (well, hopefully!) find myself up against like-minded/levelled players.
Personally, ladder system is good, but I've always believed and discussed with a few others (not necessarily on here), that there should be 2 groups - first one attracts the 'eSport' level, and the other would be us lesser minions. IMO, that would take a number of try-hards out of my group - again, hope so.
I don't think there'll ever be a perfect scenario. It literally can't get any worse - that's for sure!
I suppose the problem with that is the game is based on trading and time spent playing more so than skilled matchmaking.

Why should I play 160 games a month for a couple of 84 nifs and a few 83 measly red cards?
They could still have the same amount of games weekly with a ladder system. Don't play certain amount of games weekly, you get no rewards.

I'd love trading with friends back but that's one thing that will never EVER come back.

Usually if I'm pissed and have my phone in my hand at 4:30 am it's because I can't find my keys and I'm trying to phone the MRS to let me in, except I'm not outside my front door, I'm 5 doors down scaring that quiet asian family half to death
I play on the console when I get in sometimes and I usually always go on web app which never ends well

Oh and yes I have been driven around whilst drunk many a time, usually that ends rather messily also
For example:
Runs from Sunday-Monday, unlimited games. No more DKT, just 5 placement matches, place into a tier (same tiers that currently exist). Tiers broken up by skill points, win/lose to move up and down, typically playing people within your tier. Have to play something like 25 games to claim a weekly reward.
And bring back tournaments as a separate mode again.
