I agree with @SupaNoodle1990 that EA have done a lot of damage and I can see why people would not want to buy 19 and have a lot of bad feelings towards EA.
I am optimistic and just hope that we do get more communication this year as this is a hugely passionate fanbase. We will see.
I’m trying to simplify the means to which we move constructive feedback from the forum to EA. If any of you work for a big company you know that just identifying a problem doesn’t mean it will get fixed. But if you have people that can poke and prod then maybe, just maybe something happens.
That’s my goal. And from my perspective I see progression. I’m sure Andy just loves me ... the fact that my first interaction with him was questioning something and months later I became a mod, clearly shows they want people who aren’t just going to fall in line.
It’s good stuff but things take time to implement. It is what it is folks. You be you. I’ll be me. Leave it at that. If you don’t think what I’m attempting is worth it, spend your time elsewhere in other threads.
The problem is that the gaming community is evolving and EA is lacking behind.
EA is trying to work on resolving their errors in communication, but that was the main issue like 2-3 years ago. Now we are talking about communication, clarification and effort in general.
In that post adressing chemistry they basically copied a post from Fifa 17 including the part where they said "oh btw stamina reduces these stats, but we won't tell you by how much" that was basically EA in a nutshell for me.
But it goes on, the same closed beta (even restricted to UK and US only) for years, no changes to career mode and pro clubs for years, incredibly low prize money for competitions compared to all other eSports despite Fifa 18 selling like 20 million units worldwide (let alone fp sales), game changers feeling like some kind of elitist club for everyone who is in EA's good books and I could go on and on and on.
I know these things are hardly @EA_Andy 's fault and he can’t do anything to change these things. But it shows how far EA lacks behind and that some communication won't fix everything, because problems are going far beyond that.
What amazes me is people still falling for EA’s tactics.
Wake up.
You’re entitled to that opinion but the reaction of some people to @Absting159 is a bit unjustified. If others believe that threads like this may make a difference, let them get on with it and just ignore them.
That’s absolutely fine, my problem is with EA and their mods, for 2 seperate reasons.
The mods have made the forums worse, this dictatorship has only increased animosity. But I won’t say too much on this because we know what happens.
And EA have done too much damage to repair, it’s too late. How can anyone believe what they say after all the lies, empty promises and problems with Fifa they ignored, or didn’t deal with properly.
I don’t hate Fifa, in fact it’s the only game I play. But I know there will be problems, no communication and bad parts of their game, and I have learnt to accept that because I have no choice.
What I hate is that they make one statement and people fall back in line and lap it up. It’s not right telling people things are gonna change, because we’ve heard it all before.
That’s my opinion and now I’ll leave your thread in peace. Good luck.
I think this is a fair comment - "It’s not right telling people things are gonna change, because we’ve heard it all before."
There's certainly been a lack of communication on some aspects of the game, especially parts which which deal with mechanics like chemistry, traits and things like that.
At the current time what you and others have said in this thread is correct - there's not much we can say at this point without repeating that we're looking to improve and really that means nothing without actual action by getting these articles out and communicating more.
I think the volunteer mods that have posted in here like Absting and Bagnall have done so because we've been chatting behind the scenes and they're optimistic. But even then, all they have is what I've told them, we've still not shown it yet.
So I can't say anything right now that will win you over, but I'm hopeful with what's coming it will be a start, nothing more. Only time will tell.
Re-dictatorship - this isn't something I'm going to get into publicly, if you have any issues please send me a message, that includes any words you think should be removed from the filter. I'm looking at you @Knowlesdinho .
Words have multiple meanings, and sometimes they are filtered on here. It’s crazy.

EA's primary "audience" is their shareholders who they have a fiduciary responsibility to. Not saying they shouldn't work to improve communication and many aspects of the game, but it is a business of course, and those things are thought of by them as costs. Let's not forget that this is the same company voted worst company in 2012 and 2013 and, despite this, have grown their stock nearly 10x since then.
As a lifelong fifa fan I, of course, would love more communication and dedication to the fans feedback. Think the yearly release schedule hurts development and the license monopoly handicaps competition. How many on here complain about the game half the year but end up buying it and doing a fair amount of FPs after the new release hype takes over?

Bad press hurts the stock, just look at battlefront, and with lootboxes nearly banned. This is very shortminded.
The customers are stakeholders and if you like it or not we are an influence. Fifa is ea's cashcow where other franchises are not even top of their market.
Making the shareholders happy isnt the most important thing. Loads of other factors matters like keeping the stocks up

It was clear 2 years. It's by the percent of the stamina. But don't worry you will get more numbers that don't mean much in 2 years.
There are other problems in my eyes. The fact that we need to spend hundreds of dollars/pounds/ euros or hundreds of hours of play to get a Prime Del Piero and then he looks the same as the other ones.
But my biggest issues is that the game is too aggresive, too many uncalled fouls, shirt pulls, slide tackles, body checks dangerous plays and so on.
Add to that the stupid (yeah banned word) assisted passing system that passes in straight line to the team mate. Now you introduce the manual passing, but you make it to press 3 button and aim the direction and speed manually. Yet for assisted you don't need to care about direction, speed and is only 1 button.
The market is also a cause of frustration. Ok I got 30 million transfer profit, but it just isn't fair. And that is not fair to make the prices so volatile that you might play the game for a few days and out of the blue the prices drop a ton or raise a ton because of SBCs. I wouldn't have a problem if the better cards that played better rised, but making prices volatile and cause depreciations/increase ot the prices of players juat because SBCs are relased is just not fun.

If that were true wouldn’t EA have gone under by now?
Every year is the same with the forum complaining about things. This is a good point from you and I tend to agree in part, but if we are so important why hasn’t EA done anything to appease the FIFA community?
They sure did an about face with Battlefront.
Does the forum represent a niche group or are we the majority voice. I think we might be a much smaller part than we think. Or our bark is bigger than our bite.

@Choepiechakie Bro im on your team. I'm a Fifa fan/customer and have been for nearly 2 decades. I agree we should have a better line of communication and updates/balancing should occur more rapidly (see Fortnite). The new wave of gaming should hit fifa/fut and move towards more fluid releases as opposed to a static release with a few patches here and there.
In regards to the business end, all of EA's financial statements are public record as a publically traded company. Not saying EA is impervious to bad press, but the growth since their worst company crown shows they sell products/services people want. If you're interested here is a link to their latest Form 10-K: http://investor.ea.com/secfiling.cfm?filingID=712515-18-24&CIK=712515

Yeah - agree with this statement.
Even being on the PES-hype train for a few days, there's just not enough content in the game to get/keep you addicted. I remember in '11 and it was literally logging in multiple times a day to relist auctions - the addiction was strong with very, very little in the game!
For '17 and '18 I would be on the web app - easily 3-5 hours a day cumulatively (work from home so it's just too easy). If PES had a web app, I'd have been way easier "to hook" & would get addicted pretty quickly. I haven't turned on the PS4/PES since Saturday night (Tues AM here).
Whilst I love numbers, various stats, etc. some of those facts are not meaningless (e.g. dips in stock price), but the reality is that the addiction to FUT is huge. That's us as the minority hardcore as well as the casual mass - it's something that EA can pen into the budget, year-after-year.
Should the family of Baby Johny send him to a therapist? The young boy does nothing but tell lies, and just laughs in the face of his father when he asks him to open his mouth to see if he's eating sugar. Just don't know how they put up with this behaviour.
Great news that they are listening. Giving updates/changes to what people wanted. Reduced WL, better rewards with monthlies changing, looks like all primes in packs from Day1. This is all great news!
But why oh why are we waiting for a day before EA Access to confirm it?
30 games leaked early because people have the game already. Trezeguet on the market gives a huge hint about primes.
There’s been a special EA event where none of this was revealed. Gamescon. Nothing revealed. Game changers haven’t said anything.
I can understand maybe it wasn’t final but you guys don’t make these decisions over night, you didn’t decide on Monday to make it 30 games?
A month ago saying “We’re listening to your feedback and we will have some news regarding WL changes for you soon” but it was radio silence.
This is great progress but it could be so much better and you guys could get to reveal the news rather than someone who bribed a gameshop employee!
