Literally at a loss at what to do. Usually play default everything but I still can’t shale the slump. Currently 1-1-8, and something needs to change drastically

I was using someone’s from on here, made a new squad at some point, thought I copied them over and I hadn’t.

I didn’t notice any difference lol

STs get in behind and press backline
    CDM stay back
CT values are the ones from High Press except Cover instead of Offside trap.

Think I’m definitely going to go narrow. Either 4-1-2-1-2(2) or 4-2-2-2. Been using 4-1-2-1-2(2) in single seasons with my Primera Division side and it’s lovely to use

You might have to if you're using Schmelzer

Anyone use 4-5-1(flat)? Used it offline and you get a lot of interchanging and 3rd man runs which is nice

After the patch 4312 with passing in the buildup play section at 40 seems very effective as a result of passing being affected by the patch even though they tried to lie to us in the patch notes.

I'm usually playing 41212 (2) with alot of slow high passing players like Isco, Fabregas etc. But now I decided to use 442 with very fast players with Bakayoko (who else) and ADP and the team is Amazing

No wonder you lose so much in champs if you got your defense on free form

I have them on cover?! And I dont lose that much, Im about 50%, I just cant stand the games. Even qualifying is a mess. Its not enjoyable. Just a frustrating grind to get packs.

You just said you got free form on both times, one is final third and one is rest of the pitch so if you got both on free form then your defense will run all over the place more often than not.

Also 17-23 or 3-6 or whatever are hardly 50%

Changing the first passing to 25 was game changer for me. Then just trigger runs when you need to

ST- get in behind, cut passing lanes
CF - False 9, drift wide, cut passing lanes.
LM/RM - Stay forward, balanced width. get in behind, get in box. free form. Seems to get them most involved and more versatile in attack, and both wingers I use have decent defending work rates so they back track enough. I think get in to box is key for crossing, often score with Sif Guedes from a cross from Alessandrini from the opposite wing.

    CMs -balanced everything, default
    LB- balanced
    CBs - Stay back
    RB- Stay back

The CF at drift wide and false 9 is really key for my build up. Griezmann is great there. My LB is also a key position, using SIF vrsaljko on 7chem. He is super involved in the attack and build up.

    CTs -

love high pressure defensive line. I like being able to trap my opponent in their own half. Its possible to get caught on counter/pacey teams but I have pretty quick defenders, usually always 3 of them back there plus PTG Saul mopping up the middle.

I've got 3 hh mids, so might need a bit of playing with for you.

    4312
    St both get in behind
Cam stay forward, edge of box for the cross
Outer cms stay back on attack, central cm get forward

Everything else standard. Pretty basic but works for me.

if you haven't tried 4411, I would give it a go! most versatile formation IMO. Goals come from anywhere, wingers, STs, Cms, you name it. Love overlapping on the left side with my LB.

I still feel secure, the wingers tend to help the midfield a lot more than u would think

I’ve used it with a cheap team and wasn’t a big fan if I’m completely honest. May try with a ‘proper’ side though

My defence are not all over the place. I want an icon to partner ramos but since ditching bailly, Ive been very happy with my defenders.
    4-4-1-1
Build up play - free form
    Chance creation - free form
    Defence - cover
Instructions - varies depending on who I am using.

    WK1 WL - 17-23
    WK2 WL - 11-9
    WK3 WL - 3-7

In week 3 I couldnt start until Sunday, but found the game play unplayable and full of bs. I only lost one of the 7 games I lost by more than a goal. I stopped playing and went to bed, didnt care.

Ive only played 2 qualifying games since then and won them both.
