The Crazy FUT Ideas Thread

I think most of us will agree that FUT has gotten a bit stale over the years. Every now and then, I think of an outlandish idea for how FUT could be dramatically and creatively changed to be made better or at least different.

I want to know what your outlandish ideas are for how FUT can be made different/better. It might be fun to see what people come up with.

    I would like to see a card leveling system. Sure, it’s always great when you finally save up enough coins to get your hands on that coveted Messi card, but what if you could play enough games with someone like NIF Sterling to improve his attributes to become more like Messi?

    They could implement a system where the way your card plays in game directly impacts how its attributes increase or decrease over time.

    As an example:

    They already record how many passes each player attempts and completes during a game. Why couldn’t completing a higher percentage of passes over an extended period of time increase a card’s short passer and long passer rating? The same could be used to decrease in the case of a poor percentage.

    Obviously there would be a lot of thought that would have to go into it, but I think it would lead to a number of benefits, just to name a few:

    1. It incentivizes PLAYING THE GAME to improve your squad, rather than buying your way to the top.

    2. It might cause people to change the way they play. If constantly holding the sprint button down and giving up possession negatively impacted players, people might tone it back on the sweaty play.

    3. It makes each individual card unique and changes the way buying/selling is done.

    4. It allows you to develop a closer connection to your players, leading to less “selling up” and a much more stable market.

    Thoughts?

    Just allow users to get FUT free and if they want the rest of the game they can buy it

    It already is monetized just like a f2p game

    EA need you to buy players to bring in the money..

    Plenty of people still will. These upgrades I’m suggesting would not be quick to achieve.

    5 a side mode where you can chose your best 5 players and play in a FIFA street style match against friends, it would be brilliant to be able to play Fifa street style forum tournaments.
    They could add a 5 aside tournament mode just like draft where you pay to enter but get very worthwhile rewards (unlike draft) for winning the tournament or getting to the final.

    As part of the chem style overhaul, make managers worth different levels of chemistry (for example gold +3, silver 2, bronze 1) and add position group focus cards to managers to add another level of chem boosts available besides nation and league for a position group - forwards, mids, defenders.

    So for example a Spanish la liga striker could be on full chem with no player links as long as they had a gold Spanish la liga manager with a forward focus.

    Agree. I don’t expect them to scrap it and start over, but when everyone is pausing at the start to switch formation to work around their restrictions, that signals that it needs to be revamped.

    Mentioned a long, long time ago on a distant forum, in the Over 30's lounge ...

    ... a 'menu' system where you can buy players off, and sell back - still losing the 5% (or a reduced fee). This was obviously more geared to when bid bumping was in play and the ability for a few to manipulate the market massively. Still think it's valid.

    I've never believed it would create inflation. This discussion has been had many times over time & I genuinely think people would rather hoard cards as plenty, plenty of people are OCD about their stats. Especially given that EA don't give a ❤️❤️❤️❤️ about that side of things.

    Would love EA to actual fix the problems, I know the new patch is exactly what we want but I’ve got a feeling there gonna f*** something up. (Probs kick off goals)

    Also trading monthly cards would be awesome, I’ve got loads I will never use what other people would love.

    They need to copy madden, they get so many crazy fun promos, collections, and challenge rewards. All we get are ❤️❤️❤️❤️ packs, a handful of PL players a year, and now a small selection of Christmas players.

    Remove chemistry as a whole. Let players play whoever they want wherever they want.

    Reduce the start ratings so that players aren’t being pulled out of totw because they are already so close to max. Make ronaldo/Messi start around 87/88 and everyone else similarly. Make silvers <70 and bronzes <60

    Players from same TOTW/totgs/TOTY, etc all get soft links, if from same league then strong links and if from same club then perfect links, like icons but only with each other

    Chemistry shouldn’t be based on nationality or league they play in. Should be purely on how many games he has played for your club and be out of 100. Max chem when the player has played 100 games

    This but ablility to trade any type of untradeable eg: SBC, Prime Icons, Red Monthlies and such
