How good is 4231(CAM)

I am seeing many pro players rave abt this formation. Tass said its the best formation in game but it doesnt suit his playstyle. I have been using 41212(2) since FIFA 17. How is 4231 with CAMs? I attack better than i defend. Conceded almost 2 goals a game last WL so looking for a defensively sound formation

I find having stay forward on all your cams helps it is a solid formation though...

Depends on your play style. Defensively it’s better than the 41212-2 obviously, offensively it depends on you how like to attack

I'm still messing around with my custom tactics to find what is best but defenitely my best formation as regards performance, 2 CDM's is vital and 3 CAM's allows for serious attacking options

its my formation. got 21 wins in WL with it... although lots of improvement to make to the team still... but 21 was a good start... beat some pretty heavy handed team with icons, Cr7 and Henry ect... I run with neymar and Mbappe NIFs. Its a balanced formation. Strong on both ends. Love it. 41212 is attack heavy, you will score a lot but concede a lot too. I guess it depends on how much coins you have, a super attack and you may wanna go 41212.. but if your limited in budget, best go with an all round team.

Its a bit too defensive with your team far away from the opponents goal.

My personal favourite is the 4334. Workrates are essential. I have m/h players at cm on balance and full back with h/h on balance too.

Plays the same as 4231 but further forward.

@Demon_reborn which team do you use for 4-3-3(4)? It was my fave formation in Fifa 17, but I struggle to defend with it in Fifa 18, so 4-2-3-1 has been my fave formation for this Fifa. Using a seri a team now, and I think Dybala and Mertens works quite well as wide cams/wingers in that formation.

I've been using it since the start, for me it works wonders, this is the team:

Hazard / Messi / Griezmann
Nainggolan / Vieira
Alex Sandro / Chiellini / 88 Ferdinand / 87 Kimmich
Buffon

ST press back line
LCAM stay forward, get into box for crosses
CCAM stay forward - free roam
RCAM stay forward, get into box for crosses
Every other position I leave as it is

I found instruction 'get into box for crosses' for wide cam's very useful, otherwise they don't push high enough up the pitch

Sif son prime henry hero mane

Dybala
If Fernandinho kante

Sandro hero benatia bailly valencia

De gea

2 cms amd 2 full backs workrates are essential or else you will be over run. Fernandinhos amd kantes pace is the foundation of this team as it allows them cover so much ground.

I think my midfielders have high/high work rates. Since it worked vs my mate it might work online too, but 4-2-3-1 seems to be a little safer for me, defense wise.
