This is where the lack of acceleration from sibley starts hurting us a bit
Have no problem with his slow start as we had lost wickets but once we were back in a solid position you can't score below a strike rate of 30 for so long
Since he got out his team mates have been throwing away there wickets to try and catch up and that can't be done with this movement
Obviously its completely understandable due to the pandemic, but I'm gutted its been postponed, so enjoyed the 2016 T20 World Cup (until the final over ofc )
what would people select for the third test going to be difficult to drop any of the bowlers.
Anderson and Archer have to come back, but Broad might not be happy with a rest. I'd probably go those 3. Or maybe Woakes over Broad or Anderson if one of them have to be rested.
The stats dont show it but i thought woakes was the pick of the bowlers at least when i was watching. Wouldnt surprise me if hes dropped but i dont see how you get anderson and archer in now.
Then chose between woakes and archer depending on conditions
What about Curran its no coincidence we have won every home test hes played.
Probably because we only play him on seaming wickets tbh
For me atm woakes is a better bowler
I would consider playing Curran instead of bess and giving stokes the match off as a bowler though if conditions dictate
I dont think we should play without a spinner curran seems to have a bit of stokes in him he gets wickets and runs at really important times. Im expecting woakes and curran to both be dropped tomorrow its harsh but its nice we have options.
