Packs aren't random

Comments

  • Spent well over a grand this fifa
    Highest rated pull buffon !!
Best pull was an untradeable KDB

Spent all that money and can barely afford a upper mid tier legend

Is that what 1300 odd pounds gets you !!!

This stretch is going on for a few years now
Having spent several thousand over that period

You telling me it's pure coincidence or luck ??
I'm sure i have some kind of marker on my account.

I think I have slowly come and gradually to my senses now.
It's only in the pursuit of building the ultimate team i have been blinded by the sheer madness of it all.
    Game over EA

Also worth noting I've been opening 400 bronze packs this year and pulled two silver IFs, the chances of that given how few silver IFs there are and how few silver players you get in bronze packs must be enormous. Clearly they are given out to increase the amount on the market.

One thing I have noticed is that if I use a player in a sbc he will be replaced in a pack opening shortly after. Anyone else get this?

I get that all the time when I do mm

They should have done it like, pes.
Pack a player once and he still in your club, then you can not pack him anymore while he is in your club.

I play fut every year and never get anything worth over 100k.

I was not going to bother buying the game this time round. However my son as ea access so i thought will give it a go see what its like. I get on play a few games open a 7.5k pack and up pops 90 bergkamp. Had to buy it after that.

I open my free 2 packs i get every week and the sb packs and mm packs. I have had Kroos, Pique, Mertens, Kdb, Oblak, Kante,Ali and and at least 10 lower rated IF players. No idea what it is but its been a lucky account and hardly used in the past so i believe new players defo get a better deal.

best player i ever packed was marco van basten in the first year legends came out.

it was the first or second once ever to appear on the market, bateson bought it for 8,7 million off me imagine this was in the first rouple months of fifa that year i also packed 3x messi a motm ronaldo neville futre and some more big players..

and yes this was a different account then im using now .. so i can see why people think eveyr account has different luck... the one i got now is pretty **** anyway xD time for a new account

What i also see very often.. people with **** record pack the best players out of 5k packs

and sometimes people that pack r9 or something then you see a **** record 50 fifa points left and 1200 coins so basicly his very last pack he could afford...

In FIFA 16 I got bored pretty quickly, didn't play much before toty and then didn't play much till tots. When tots came around I thought "well the circus is ending, might as well spend everything and see if I get lucky". Opened a 50k pack and to my surprise, a high rated PL tots pops out, Alexis Sanchez iirc. I see the full pack content and another decent tots is there (azpili willy I think). Oh boy did they reel me back in. I spent the rest of my coins buying more packs and as soon as they ended I bought some FP to open more as my "packs luck" had been pretty decent. As soon as I started opening the same packs with FP's my luck changed immensely and I got jack all, even in the more expensive packs.
This wasn't the first time that I had stopped playing for a while and when I returned my pack luck had suddenly turned godly. I'm pretty surge the system is rigged, new and returning players get better "luck" in order to get them spending, loyal players get jack all because they're already playing, big time FP buyers get nothing too because if they did players would be much cheaper and people wouldn't feel the need to buy FP.
Tl, dr: stop giving EA money. The system is rigged against you and will always be as long as they keep proffiting from it.

The fact they can offer "increased chance" packs proves they aren't random.

I'm starting to think people get chance and random mixed up.
Cards of certain rating have a x% to be packed.

I wouldn't be surprised they work with brackets. For example
    75-78 > Pack chance 25%
    79-82> Pack chance 15%
    83-85 > Pack chance 10%
    And so on.

Then pick a random player within the bracket. With special % outside brackets for icons and 90+ players.

My pack luck so far has been amazing for me IF Higuain and IF Erkisen as my most notable. Both from League SBC's though.

You can broadly tell what the pack weight is based on the ranges. It's why jesus is more expensive than fahrmann. When ultimatedb.nl was working jp flathead had stats for the number of times a specific player had been pulled etc which made it easy to work out weight. I'd imagine that anyone with access to the db now would have similar info.

Yes because it's completely impossible that EA, proven more than enough times to be a very greedy company, rigs a system without any laws, legal control or any transparency for maximum proffit. To not even entertain such a possibility means you're at the very least a very naive person.
Don't get me wrong, this is a business and the aim is always to make proffit. But there are fair and unfair business practices and I really wouldn't put it past EA to go down the unfair way. Having different pack weights to encourage spending is pretty unfair. If you buy packs, you earned them, either by playing games/trading or by working a RL job for FP so you deserve the same weights and chance to pull something good.

They are as random as slot machines. Programmed to let you catch small wins to keep you playing. Designed to make you go bust.

It's literally no different than slots at a casino.

Difference is kids spend all their money on packs and don‘t get how the system works. It‘s disgusting, EA should be ashamed and I cant wait for that huge gambling lawsuit to hit them (and it will, and they know it) It really enforces the vision of big businesses as a solely profit driven machines without any moral conscience/fibre whatsoever

If it's like a lottery, which means every individual has an EQUAL chance of winning (pulling a good card), i'd be fine with it. However, i believe some accounts have higher chances of pulling good players than other accounts do.

I guarantee if I use my Vidal in a sbc he wouldn’t be replaced any time soon in a random pack ha :)

    It's called the placebo effect.
Usually the people who pack big players come and post about it. If everyone would come her eto post when they did not, you would see the difference.

People talk alot. Its not random. Anyone around from the fifa 12 days and that huge pack glitch web app thing Will Know. Certain packs with a certain ID Number will drop specific tier of players. Not just the amount of rares. That Int. Reputation could play in here but im not sure since i dont bother with packs.. Research the tampered packs in fifa 12 and you Will get a better understanding. And Yea that patent confirmed what most of you are saying. The lesser the amount of percieved commitment the bigger the pulls to suck you in.

The patents stated that your spending pattern, thus the amount of money you spend on the game, influences the outcome of the game. I think it does also influence how much you get back from packs.

Also; I think there's some kind of pattern where some players are more common on certain days than others. For example; I packed Vermaelen b2b in 2 7,5k packs the other day. The odds of that happening and not Vermaelen and some other nonrare cb with the same card weight, should be similar to packing something huge.

So no, packs aren't random like EA states they are, but they'll never tell unless some law comes (which I think it should), forcing companies to be more clear about their ingame purchases. It's gambling. Only difference between in game gambling and IRL gambling is that a 12-year old child can't get into a casino.

It's shocking no single government has ever taken some kind of action towards these systems.

(And yes, I'm guilty of spending quite a decent sum of money on FP)

    I fully support this !

I dont spend much on packs. Normally $50-70 at the game start.

But there should be clear link between how much you spend and what you are likely to get in reward.

otherwise - its gambling and CHEATING on customers.

(PS= for example in Tom Clancy Siege 6 you can buy internal currency and spend it on special Operator or Special Outfit for your operator/ or colors for your weapon.
More cool content requires more $ and so on... which is LOGICAL at least)

Show me the proof of them rigging the system somehow. And "me and my mate both opened gold pack, and he got de bruyne and I got only John Terry" isnt a proof of anything mr tinfoilhat
