Packs aren't random

I honestly believe they are accounts that always have a higher chance of pulling good players than others.

I've opened countless of packs and usually get nothing. Pulled an Oblak once thats it, not a single card over 10k, nor higher rated than 84. Over theast 3 days i opened 300k worth of packa and not even a si gle billboard.

My brother however recently started playing FUT. Today he asked my to help him with his first sbc because he wasn't familiar with it. He got a 25k pack and a 35k mega pack. In his 25k pack he pulled marchisio and i was already shocked. Then he opened his mega pack and out walks 89 Kevin de Bruyne. I'm happy for him but it just seems a bit rigged.

Thoughts? Or is it all just 'random'

I think it's random with higher probabilities for special packs. SBCs usually give special packs.

Leave FP in your account.. The minimum possible. It works...

You’re not going to get EA to admit to anything behind how packs work. All of this is conjecture but I think pack contents are affected by a lot of variables. I think the number of packs you’ve recently opened affects the contents, same as the total value of your club. I’ve found that SBC reward packs, using a fairly large sample size over two years, have yielded returns that are waaaay higher than otherwise identical store packs.

Given the recent information revealed about EA patents, I think it is reasonable to assume that EA uses social science to give you packs that will encourage you to keep buying, while also not giving you too much if you buy too many packs too often (to keep the market unaffected as much as possible). If you’ve played fut for a while or you’ve been opening a lot of store packs, it is in your interest to stop because EA likely adjusts your packs to low returns, knowing that you’ll keep buying no matter the reward.

I personally feel that anyone that thinks packs aren't random and that EA have different outcomes and weights programmed to different accounts is an idiot, but that's just me.

The patents stated that your spending pattern, thus the amount of money you spend on the game, influences the outcome of the game. I think it does also influence how much you get back from packs.

Also; I think there's some kind of pattern where some players are more common on certain days than others. For example; I packed Vermaelen b2b in 2 7,5k packs the other day. The odds of that happening and not Vermaelen and some other nonrare cb with the same card weight, should be similar to packing something huge.

So no, packs aren't random like EA states they are, but they'll never tell unless some law comes (which I think it should), forcing companies to be more clear about their ingame purchases. It's gambling. Only difference between in game gambling and IRL gambling is that a 12-year old child can't get into a casino.

It's shocking no single government has ever taken some kind of action towards these systems.

(And yes, I'm guilty of spending quite a decent sum of money on FP)

Obviously new accounts get better packs, been like that for years

And "random" is the wrong word. That implies a lack of pack weights, which of course there are. Better title would be "pack weights are different on some accounts"

Yeah. To try and get you to spend more. Also, if you spend a lot, don't expect much since they already have your money, no need to keep you happy.

Algorithm is involved. Can never be random as that would mean someone could pull back to back ronaldo which would never happen. How i believe it works is.

-system gets allocated 10 ronaldos for the day.
-System is programmed to drop one in a pack every couple of hours.
    -once limit reached that's it.

So if you "lucky" you could be on the guys who pull him.

No way packs are random I opened 6 mega packs back to back and hit mandzukic and coates as the 2 top rated in 5 of the packs
If they were random with the amount of cards in game the odds of that happening must be in the millions
I’ve no idea how they do it I don’t think it anything linked to the account but it must generate to the amount of certain cards in game at the time
mandzukic would have been getting used heavily for adp icon sbc with both Italy and juve so obviously y he kept popping up

More like 100, but yeah probably about right. Kinda like those arcade games, claw machines/stacker type things that give out once every 100-500 attempts

Packs are just stringing you along.

If people can’t see the positve reinforcement in UT in the form of so called rewards like receiving packs and coins, and the instant gratification from buying FP’s to immediately open packs to entice you to keep playing then it’s about time you did.

Just like a slot/poker machine with the nice symbols, happy music and near misses that just deny you a win. All tricking you into playing more in the hope that a win is around the corner.

And that flashy pack opening is just another step in reeling you in for more. The pack always give you that glimmer of (false) hope and that slim chance at getting that walkout and the Ronaldo, Messi or the Icon you are hoping for. You sometimes get a nibble with a high rated player every now and then but all this is doing is just letting you think something good might be around the corner.

And if you keep getting sucked in then it’s your own silly fault.

They are as random as slot machines. Programmed to let you catch small wins to keep you playing. Designed to make you go bust.

It's literally no different than slots at a casino.

League SBC packs have been either really good really meh for me: Got absolute trash from Liga Nos & Eredivisie but got a ton of good cards from Super Lig & Russian league.
I'm sure there's some level of rigging involved in packs but I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as some people seem to think it is. Just re-adjust your expectations - not every Mega Pack is going to give you an Icon or Ronaldo.

Sometimes it is really strange. For instance I did the bigger rewards from the different League SBC's. From the Mexico League just one and packed nothing. Turkish and Russian League were both profitable for me. Just out of those 2 I made approximately 80k profit (just out of the big packs, haven't done the **** packs). Also the advanced sbc's were good (league nation, hybrid)

Yeah it's almost as if it's random.

honestly it could be both. random or just programmed. Sometimes I feel packs are random and sometimes it happend also to me that I received same players b2b or in a few packs. I don't see that as purely random, as there are so many players available to pull.

Hi guys. You may not remember seeing my post I posted last week where I have obtained official documents showing how EA have made their packs not random as it's dependent on how much packs you open, with what you use to pay for it, coins or FP and how often you open. I have uploaded this documents to image sharing sites but I don't think the policy on this site allows me to post the links so you can download it and have a look. I got 2 documents. The other document talks about how, depsning on the current match situation or facotrs before hand, determines how much of an advantage you or your opponent would have. So no game is truely even.

I for instance usually open packs over night in Europe. Mostly it gave me better rewards rather than opening them during the day

At least you know the chance percentage with a casino slot machine. Never trust something that doesn't reveal the odds.
