After seeing so many negative threads about the new patch, i have to say something positive.
The new patch is amazing, you can really pick out the ping pong no look blind passers out by a mile now, and ptb seems not that effective anymore, very well done.
The passing is very well done now, do NOT change it back please.
Not eveything is ok now ,but this a very good direction you went with this patch, we can play real football now, and think before we do something.

What's wrong with you? Why are you not like the others on the forums?
I think the people complaining about the passing, are the ones that would just hit x x x x blindly all game long, without looking where they pass or if the recieving player is free to safely recieve the ball.
Ptb might be harder to break break down if you always relied on blind 180 degree passes/1-2's, but on the other hand, they must score, they can nolonger through ball with any CB/lb/rb blindy and hope the forwards get it, those days are gone thank god.
They will have to attack now and you can make sure they will mess up sooner or later, and with the passing fixed now, they can not keep passing it in the back, you will notice if you hunt em down smart , they will sooner or later pass the ball in open space, a freebee ty.
I have yet to encounter a good player going ptb, but i guess if they better then us they would have beat us also not playing ptb, ptb will be harder to maintain i think now, as you will have to pass sometime:p
So ptb users will be .....
I was away on holiday when the original game came out, but the last patch was awful, got beat by so many hunting passes or blind 1-2s.
Played properly last night for the first time in ages and enjoyed the gameplay so much more.
Put a good winning streak together in seasons and quickly rose through divisions so thought id try the WL.
Qualified 1st try with 3 rage quits within the first 15 mins of the games.
This patch seems to play to my strengths of nice passing football.

Can't score much. Most games end 0-0 and then penalties..
Yes scoring without finesse seems a bit harder or keepers are better at saving , also the corner guarenteed(sry spelling) goal when aiming at 6 yerd box seems gone
Haven't found that. Won DKT last night with something like 3-0, 4-0 (rage quit after 60 mins), 6-1 and 3-0. Pogba seemed even more OP than before, got all 4 in the 4-0 rage quit and 3 in the 6-1 game.
I think scoring goals should be earnt, even moreso if you are playing a better team just like IRL
I prefer winning 1 or 2 nil rather than the absurd scorelines of 6-4 etc every other game.
Never do finesse tbh. So that's the way to go now?
I'm all with ya man. Was being sarcastic. Feels fresh to see someone being positive for a change.
The game benefits my play style of building up my attacks with prolonged pressure and it seems like the 4411 formation is much more effective than it has been since I started using it.

Leoon by your post you appear to be about 13. When you grow up and learn proper football you will understand how to play. Take your ping pong arcade butt back to school so you can learn a thing or two.
This game doesn't reward proper football period, especially on squad battles. You are forced to play against an AI defense with PTB who have boosted stats so they block, intercept, or save everything. Playing this game is like watching Barcelona not in their prime playing against a Stoke team that is taking steroids. Fifa forces you to play one style and it makes the game boring as hell. I don't think most people here want to have 75% pointless possession just to create 3 chances that are created entirely because the AI becomes more aggressive and creates openings for you.
The passing might be all well and good online but it didn't fix anything offline.
I admit to giving EA plenty of crap about the state of their game but I will acknowledge that they deserve some credit now for trying to make the game as good as they possibly can..
I'd be perfectly happy if it stays like this for the rest of the season....

100% disagree. It absolutely rewards proper build up and a more tactical game vs how fast can you push a button to create a chance. Methodical build up will create chances.
i personally like ppl that ptb bcuz they will spam "X" all the way to their strikers but here is why i like it , i cut off those passes and gain possesion . pass pass pass pass until i see an opening .
love the patch tbh . feels like when the game first came out
