Best way to counter the defensive counter attacker?
The most frustrating player to play against, counter attack and defensive. You know the ones, they'll have defenders sat on the edge of their own box all game, 65% possession mostly in the middle of the pitch and your players just can't get close to them.
I've tried everything;
- Aggressive interceptions player instructions.
- 100 high pressure and aggression on custom tactics.
- Changing formation with more attacking players.
- All out attack.
Nothing changes, my players will still stand off and give the opposition loads of space to just pass through me, then when I do get the ball my players aren't high enough up the pitch to cause any problems.
It's ridiculous that the attacking team can't put the defensive team under the most pressure! Does the EA developers even watch football?!

As a FUT player yourself, you should know this.
When overloaded the rb and lb are occupied by the LF or Rf leaving the lm or rm to score tap ins or finesse to the opposite corner as they are unmarked.
You also have the cam to bang them in.
Defensively the cdm in the formation gets in the way of triangles between the 2 strikers and cam. Essentially 3 against compared to 3 against 2
Patience and holding the ball is key to playing againtst ptb abusers!
