SPFL/Scottish Lounge - Decades Draft

The theme this time is decades!

We will be working from the 1900s-2000s. One player from each decade to make up your XI. Your pick each time must have made their debut in that particular decade.

i.e. Gianluigi has played across 3 decades, however he made his debut in 1995...therefore he can only be selected for the 1990s.

Each drafter will have a random sequence of decades, so no 2 drafters should have the same order.

    Time Limit

Each drafter has a 4 hour window to pick their player. The window begins when the drafter before you has made their pick. If you miss your window on more than one occasion, you will be kicked from the draft.

If you know you might not be available to make your next pick, PM someone with the player you want and at least one more back up player.

    Alex James 1922

    U1HV2.png

His role: my deep lying play maker that will turn defense into attack.

    The History

He is mostly noted as a playmaking lynchpin at Arsenal with whom he won six trophies from 1930 to the 1936 season. James featured as a deep lying creative midfielder who provided a link between defence and attack. He was famed for his high level of footballing intelligence, outstanding ball control and supreme passing. James was described by Tom Finney as "an inspiration" and "pure magic" with his style of play eventually leading to comparisons with Dennis Bergkamp. His rheumatism meant he wore "baggy" shorts so as to conceal the long johns he put on for warmth. As so his baggy attire became his own trademark look displayed upon the field of play. He also scored two of the goals for the Wembley Wizards that beat England 5-1

I'm doing my research and liking the order I've got, disappointed my naughties are so late but sure they're should still be some cracking players left by then. Actually probably a good thing, the main pics will be gone but should be mire than enough good players left in each position
