    GK & Defence
Chilavert - A legendary goalkeeper, who also netted a fair few goals. The only 'keeper to have scored a hat-trick in professional football.

Bergomi and Cabrini - Two of Italy's greatest defenders, which is quite something. The former is an Inter Milan legend, having spent his entire career there, captaining them for years. Cabrini was part of the incredible Juventus defence with Gentile and Scirea alongside him and Zoff in nets.

Jurgen Kohler - Former Juventus, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund (with whom he won the CL) centre back. Germany's second best centre half of all time.

Alan Hansen - Winner of 3 European Cups at Liverpool. Scotland's greatest ever centre half...after Billy McNeill...

    Midfield
Falcao - The holding midfielder. Nicknamed "The Eighth King of Rome" due to his popularity amongst the Roma fans. An incredible midfielder who will dictate the game from a deep position, as well as doing his defensive duties.

Johan Neeskens - It was mainly down to him and Cruyff that the Netherlands became such a force. One of the finest ever box to box midfielders, along with....

Paul Breitner - A left back turned midfielder, he had a bit of everything in his locker. Averaged round 1 goal ever 3.5 games throughout his career, which is astonishing considering where he played on the pitch.

    Attack
Alfredo Di Stefano - One of the all-time greats of the game. Real Madrid's greatest ever player.

Kenny Dalglish - The finest export from Scotland. 3 European Cups at Liverpool. "King Kenny" is still idolised by Celtic and Liverpool supporters.

    Eusebio - 580 goals in 575 games. Ballon d'Or 1965. Need I say more?

My team has 2 World Cup winners and World Cup Golden Boot winners up front. A rock sold midfield with flair players up front. And a solid defence with World Cups and almost 300 caps between them. Won't talk about each player as you will know who they are I'm sure.

Right if I don't get best attack I will be very sad. Also the rest of the team is basically a current world xi plus Nesta.

With a defence comprising of the second best goalkeeper of the century and two of the cleanest CBs ever to play the game flanked by two of the most decorated full backs ever this is not a team that will concede many goals free kicks or penalties. Should I be behind late in the game then there is no better CB to send up top than John Charles.

Midfield, Souness wins the ball Gerson distributes from deep to the wings or the advanced playmaker Kopa, with the defence also being masters of the short passing game this is definitely a possession based tika taka team.

With an attack consisting of the most prolific striker to play the game, an Olympic standard 100 meter runner on one wing and the first ever winner of the balón d'or on the other this team has three things in mind, clean sheets, possession and bag loads of goals

I had about a week to do this and still managed to be last :joy:

Tried to keep it based on players from the late 60's/70's and im actually really happy at how well the team turned out. Some great skillful players behind one of the best strikers in history, with an absolutely solid back 4 and Tardelli to protect an outstanding keeper in Maier. E-zeh.

I expected a place in best defence.

I didn't expect a place in best midfield or attack which I never got anyway for attack.

You only got 4 points for defence. 2 from me.

Stunned at that tbh. Best goalkeeper ever, one of the best centre backs of all time, arguably the greatest ever right back. Campbell and Brehme both top players as well.

I'll take that a few places and a first in defence.

@Derryboy1893 and @Lisbon67 well done for only using players from 1955 and below!

Was quite stunned at that also tbh but it's all about opinions, glad I placed somewhere though keeps my record going

That's a nice surprise because I had a stronger team in the last draft, I'm off to pop some champagne.
