And this is why FIFA is in state it is right now. Because of stfus like you. No one is saying PES has no flaws, maybe even gamebreaking ones (jet to find it), but it is certain not as bad as some people make it to be.

Well I would understand if FIFA didnt have just about the same issues (GKs, passing, switching, input lag, lag, high press, broken refs, yearly OP thing, etc.). This is based on previous seasons and to be fair I am jet to try the New FIFA gameplay, so can not really criticize it right now (but it usually starts very promising and goes downhill after few patches).

As far as PES goes I have disc version and Will sell it on, if I do find some issues that bother me enough. My Point was: It is really not as bad as few of you claimed it is...so far it was surprisingly enjoyable to play (but I did only tried My club so far, also 3v3 looks interesting and Will try it next).

I hope FIFA improoves this year aswell, as we might get two decent football games then.

I enjoyed the game. Other than crossing and goal keepers every game offline and online were like the video posted. Player switching is slow to react so it’s hard to switch to a centre back to mark the striker even if you do it similar to Fifa 14. This in itself wouldn’t be ground breaking if the keepers didn’t turn into asleep sloths when a header come near them. Passing, AI moment in both defence and attack is brilliant, shooting was decent. Defence you have to learn how to do it yourself, enjoyed this not having the hold my hand and it’s improved me at Fifa.Players having different styles of movement etc was really good. I also think graphics were great especially the players facial etc.

I love the concept of my club, different managers having different styles and formations, being able to change tactics and formation using the dpad depending how the game is planning out. Most wont agree with this but I love the fact there is no market, forces you to try players you wouldn’t normally, I like the scouts system after every game. As a father my times limited so don’t have to trade 24/7 to get decent players as they have weekly tournaments to win black ball agent and most of the time you have to win one game only. On UT feel I have to be on the app all the time. Say Thursday when MM if you don’t log at 6 you don’t get top price for who you want to sell and miss out on a player you might need.

That being said the crossing and keepers were a game changer for me. It was ridiculous, straw broke the camels back was playing psg offline on professional and Di Maria scored a hat trick of headers beating Bonnuci in the air. Same game my white ball RW scored 2 up.

I was getting Fifa for pro clubs regardless but decided to cash in on pes and made £1.50 back on what I paid. Bought for £34.50 sold for £36

at least in PES you can trigger a teammate's run or even (if you're good enough) control a teammate manually when attacking. you also have the fluid formation option (you can set a 4-3-3 when attacking and 4-4-2 in defence, if you like). with all its shortcomings, PES seems to be a much more sophisticated and tactical game,

As far as GK in My club mode goes: I had a GK that was 54 rated in my goal at the start and he acted exactly like mentioned above (did not stop a single headers), after his TS went up enough i put Miranda (Italian GK, 72 rated at lvl.1I think) in goal and the headers stopage improoved a lot (he saved 4 attempts from Falcao). Not sure if this Will go on, but I hope higher rated GK will perform a lot better in goal...we Will see (not getting my hopes up).

What is really starting to really anoy me is Player switching, as I Just can find the logic behind it sometimes, and the fact players are unresponsive for a moment after you switch to them (or they reciveing the ball and game switches in its own).

Passing is a lot better Done then in FIFA though.

Just Got an offer to sell the game for 55 and i am considering it (i Guess i could wait for Myclub to go FTP).

Also one thing that i really like in PES aswell is finding that gems (bronze and white players that play way above their rating). Harder to do in FIFA where last year most Gold players felt/played just about the same (exception were those OP players everyone used)...here players like Maradona or Messi actually feel and play a bit diferent then the rest. And after playing FIFA for so long it is hard to find players that surprise you.

    7.5/10 for me so far.

If the issues are adressed in patch it could go up by quite a bit, it is just not there jet. I think I will keep it for a while (even with the offer I Got for it) to see how it stands the test of time...that is if that Player unresponsivenes does not tick me off to much (quite a few times I lost the ball now, because players just did not respond in time - dont remember this being an issue with FIFA...FIFA just did not switch to the player I wanted in time, while responsivenes was miles better).

Timed forum ban, i was naughty it seems.

Didt miss much i see, PES still plays great luving it, i have been beating long ball/crossing noobs(some of them had ratings of 800+, so they knew how to do it and failed) many times now on there ;:),

it doesnt work anymore for them and i am good at defending against it , tactical play finally gets rewarded.

    I even playing in a custom kit with a dragonball/PSG theme :)

Yeah agree , specially if he unmarked, but if you can put manual a defender infront its np ,but way more managable then 17 tho.

Also releasing or not holding the sprint button. continuesly helps alot with alot of things.

    That's funny..
You must love their boring repetitive commentary, especially that second commentator, its horrible when you hear him blab the same lines each time
    ❤️❤️❤️❤️ presentation & content
Wrong player names, club names, mussing players, wrong ages, wrong kits (Yeah I know you get those pes edits, but still)
Rewardless career mode franchise, you make it etc
Only thing pes is good at is its gameplay, top notch each year but that's pretty much it.
A few game & you will bored to even try it again, unlike Fifa games

That's what some people enjoy the most, gameplay that is fun and consistent. Everyone moans about the gameplay in FIFA non stop, it's just ping pong at times and players doing non stop skills and scoring from 40 yards.

If you want a slower thinking football game PES is something you will enjoy, I think the feel of the gameplay is almost perfect, a few tweaks needed but it's a great game to play. FIFA you can master in a few games, PES takes a long time to learn and has a lot of depth tactic and gameplay wise.

I imagine a lot of people mute the commentary and listen to music anyway while playing.

I still think FIFA's gameplay will keep being the best if they just improve defending a little.
PES is slower and thats the only good thing, FIFA is more advanced tactically, how the team positions on the pitch, the runs player make, the space players occupy, it's all better on FIFA, FIFA have been tweaking and improving on thsoe things for many years.

Supossedly there is patch comming that will fix the switching issue. Hope it fixes that nonresponsiveness for a seccond aswell.

Gameplay wise, after I adjusted a bit from fifa, game is really solid (minus the above mentiones switching issues and non responsives, higher rated GK save a lot more headers, but still conceed a stupid goal here and there). Oblak is supposedly a real "beast" in goal (not to sure what to belive here, but will not dissmiss the claims untill I see otherwise).

So from what I read fifa has the issue you lot were complaining PES had (high scoring games)? I dont think I saw one game in PEs that finished 7:6 or amongst those lines (not saying game does not have other issues though)...

Pro players don't play full manual, it puts you in disadvantage. I'm tired of this manual nonsense. You must win a lot online.. or let me guess, you only play offline.

So you'd rather win a flipper-looking game just by pressing buttons instead of actually be challenged in a setup that feels like actual football...because you must win a lot online and that's it...great spirit. Breaking news: you're not a pro, so you can play full manual and have some fun! or is a pro manual by definition? nobody helps Messi to aim...

    Have some fun loosing lol
If the game online becomes full manual I will play full manual. Other than that, it's nonsense.

I don’t know. What I saw on YouTube about FIFA 18 gameplay it looks really solid. So I’m waiting for more comments after it will be released.

In its turn, PES looks real too:

I dont know what reviewers played but they sure did not play the same game as I did. Yes game has issues (switching and responsives being two such isssues) but the gameplay is great (passing actualy feels like passing, GK are actually quite decet and get better with rating, tactics wise PES beats fifa hands down - I love all the options that are posible in PES...but, the game still has that S thing, so that takes it down a notch and after reaching div1 in PES it seems there is nothing much to do, but CO-OP is a great addition...so it has its positives and negatives, but in general I like it)...

I did not really make up my mind on fifa jet, all I can say i do not like the GK, as they seem to let in every other shot on goal (and the last online game I played finished 6:0, even if I was on wining side of it, there was just something off and defensive positioning does need some work aswell, while i do like more or less manual tackling route fifa seemed to have taken...)

As far as my tryouts go PES is edging it slightly due to the tactical options of the game, even if i do not like GP farming necesity in order to get semi decent players, the two issues mentioned above and the fact players can actually sort of just run through the player who is trying to shield the ball (no matter if you have strong player or not), also not sure if the lack of market place is a good thing...ah almost forgot: Oblak (GK) actually looks like Oblak :)

Pes18 is way more fun then fut18, you can play actual football on there and the defending is alot better worked out and manual to.

Luving pes18 even after all these fut promos/events and sb's.

    Kinda agree.
Pes is way more tactical then fifa and the tactics /corner tactics actually work , u like to fifa, yes fifa has the corner tactics but they dont do anything lol.

For the S you dont need to skip pes as fifa is alot more S then pes if you are honest.

100% worth it, and you can even try the PES lite version, its only myclub mode(fut variant), and you can download that for free.

You will have a good team very fast on there.

Pes 2011 is the best football game I have ever played based purley on gameplay and the series has had more authentic fun gameplay ever since.

Sorry but their FUT equivalent is AWFUL and they seriously need to reinvent it. Master league may be brilliant but a single player mode cannot be your main focus and draw in 2018 for a sports game.

The pure gameplay is better but the modes still feel like we are in 2005. Fifa does not only have FUT but now even has the likes of The Journey which has been a huge hit

Konami as a company are all over the place, I feel that they arent even trying to compete anymore and simply milking their big IP's for every penny they can get .
