I'm really not sure what to think of it all to honest.

He was pretty much the perfect appointment but he never quite got to the heights he wanted to with us. Having injures constantly to key players never helped him despite being just shy off the play offs in both seasons.

Most of our fans wanted him out in the past few weeks, but we were never going to sack him because we couldn't afford to, so for Vale to come in and pay money for him has probably done us a massive favour.

Not a big fan of his best mate and assistant staying with us until the end of the season though, would rather him gone too and us leave Mat Sadler in charge until we appoint someone else.

With us being only a few points off the play offs and with us having like 17 games or something in the next two months, it could go either way.

    Holden’s coming home

I’m sure we had a Tranmere fan as well...

Any chance of updating the front page? @WFCBagnall

I know they aren't very good, but it's a bit harsh to call whatever team Holden puts out 'cones'.

same ref as we had against Sheff Wed I think, who denied us 3 clear pens. Ez 3 points ahead for Bristol City

Stick to giving them 3 points please for my bet. Thought Portsmouth would be up for jt because of the Jackett stuff. Clearly not

We’ve reverted to 433 even though we are yet to win a game playing it this season (out of about 8)
And are playing a small RB at CB even though we have our CBS available again, against a Bristol Rovers team with two big lads up front who are just launching long balls
    It’s a mess
If we completely change system at HT we might rescue it

The most amusing part about tonight is that your 18-man squad combined have more appearances in a Bristol Rovers shirt than our 18-man squad combined

Mcnair got a straight red for a tackle where he won the ball clean as a whistle. Dont get how your supposed to slide forward without having your studs up. Football feels like a non contact sport half the time now.

We’ve just lost to a team with no manager, that’s not won in 11, got absolutely piped by Accies
And their fan in here is already discussing their league two campaign next year
And our assistant manager has just described our performance as outstanding

You read the article? The Ref admitted to NW that it was the Lino who gave it from 30 yards away, could have cost us that, another world class shocker.

Yeah its absurd. Feel like a broken record every week watching games getting either annoyed by the refereeing or the rules giving defenders no chance. On a positive note Watmores goal was brilliant.

You said as the game started in here 'you're welcome for the 3 points tonight' just wondering was it a team selection thing or something?

As you've just stated we are poo and hadn't won in 11, probably scored about 4 goals in that period and you guys are obviously doing semi well (top 2 if you won games in hand before tonight!) so a weird result.

Obviously strange results happen all the time but this is definitely not one I would have predicted like you did!

Feel for the bloke but should have never been appointed in the first place. Set up to fail from minute one.

Our system only works when we play 442 with one of our wingers up top
Otherwise we consistently have no one within thirty yards of the striker, have zero pace up front and our press doesn’t work
It’s unfortunately as simple as that but somehow the management team can’t see it even though we’ve genuinely not won with this formation all year from about 8 attempts

Defending on all 3 of our goals was shocking by your lot as well, like Sunday league stuff. Appreciate it as we needed the goals! But it was not good for a team fighting for autos!

Yeah he has been a real asset to us, making our expensive strike force look extremely poor.
