Everyone watching this belter of a match tonight? Be good to see how Watford start under their new manager

I'm watching it, but I'm expecting Boro to Warnock a 1-0 out of it. Watford are missing quite a few players from what I can tell and the relegated teams never win on the opening day. Remember seeing a stat about it after the opening day last year, think I posted it in here.

Nice of Sky to treat us to another Warnock spectacle tonight. Tenner on 0-0.

Oh and we've got Mick McCarthy on the commentary. Delightful.

I don't mind Mick McCarthy commentating. Something about a dour Yorkshireman who sounds like he hates life that does it for me.

Rather have him than a Steve McManaman saying "Fletch" every 5 seconds.

As I said, love Mick McCarthy's commentating. That Joao Pedro thing a perfect example.

Not been watching but I’m not surprised to hear another Colin game is 1-0 with a goal from a set piece

Watford giving a Right-Back the #3 should be an instant 20 point deduction.

Unlucky to lose this really as been evenly matched, done by a bit of crap defending and lacked cutting edge, had a decent go after what we have watched for 3 seasons.

Guess it's 4 in 19 now. You're welcome Boro fans.

Not too unhappy with that we give it a go against a team that will probably be in the promotion race not thrilled we play bournemouth next though not an easy start for us.

That new lad will bring some energy in the middle I think, bit of drive. It’s certainly better than we have been watching but no clear cut chances which is pretty poor.

Hope he's good, considering we've spent 5m euros on him.

Bournemouth look like a bit of a state to be fair. They've got the problem of having players that nobody wants on massive wages (*cough* Solanke *cough*) which has meant they've lost (or will lose) half their team and not been able to sign anyone.

They still have brooks and king dont they for the time being thats more than good enough to beat most championship defences.

King's 100% leaving, we're linked with him so I've seen that they've taken his Kit number off him and he's in the last year of his contract. Supposedly between us and Villa for him but he wants to go to Man Utd.

They probably want mega money for Brooks so he could end up staying though.

I mean they could end up struggling just think if there both playing they have the firepower for the time being. The fact were at home is the more concerning thing the way we ended last season.

Probably know more tomorrow for Bournemouth's first game, because would imagine they'll have the same problem Watford did tonight where they have players who are "injured" like Deulofeu, Capoue etc.

But they're the only relegated team who I don't think will get Top 6 this season.

Local pub shut down for breaking rules last night but going to my first match of the season'' Friendly'' see the new signings and hopefully a trialist or two cant wait.

The last trialist was Portuguese everyone was expecting Ronaldo turned out to be a factory worker that wouldn't make the res team.
