Looks like we've agreed a deal for Cash then. Wasn't expecting a RB to be our first signing but looking forward to seeing him play, Forest fans seem to only have good things to say about him

£14m rising to £16m is an excellent bit of business. I just hope we look into buying a replacement, because Darikwa has just come back from a season long injury and Jenkinson looks like he's going to have an injury every time he plays.

Sad to lose him but it's been on the cards since we bottled the playoffs.

Not sure about "balancing the books" given he's probably on like 5k a week max.

But he's definitely got the potential. Started the season quite well playing in the sort of Zinchenko Full-Back role where he'd come inside and play in Midfield quite a lot. He made some mistakes as well, which you expect from someone playing their first senior season.

Not sure he's good enough to be a starter for a Top 6 aspiring team in the Championship, but he'd be a very good squad player minimum- especially because he can play RCB in a three, RB, LB and CM.

Could be proven wrong, but suspect they'll do the usual West Ham thing of putting out links with loads of big/sought after names and then on Deadline Day they'll sign another Ajeti/Hugill and say "we tried".

Even if they do sign him, personally don't think Diangana's that much worse than Benrahma, and he's HG and younger. And he'd presumably be at least double what they're getting initially for him.

Our fans are something else. Went on a Fulham forum to see if there were any transfer links, first thing I see is someone suggesting we sign Lacazette.

... and then about two comments down someone says they wouldn't want him.

:D Not only is his wages £180k, his price tag £35m I'd say. I doubt he would even want to join Fulham, he's probably never heard of them . Underrated player for sure

Do you even need a striker? Any idea if you will come in for Chambers?

Centre-Back and Right-Back have to be the priority for us over the next 9 or 10 days before we play you.

We do need a "Forward" wouldn't say an out and out Striker. Someone who can play Striker, but also out wide is ideal because nobody is starting ahead of Mitrovic. We've been linked with Ollie Watkins, and he fits the bill. It's just obviously we aren't the only team in for him and every time I see him linked with someone the price Brentford are asking for has gone up.

Most recent link has been Bertrand Traore, and between Traore and Cairney we'd probably have the two most one-footed players on the planet.

Probably isn't impossible we sign Chambers, but I doubt it. Our Midfield is sorted now (even if we don't sign Florentino Luis), barring us selling Zambo- and he was a car crash for us when he played Centre-Back.

Didn't think Maddison would be a Jaap Stam kinda player. Please don't do this to me

I thought you couldn’t get much better than Matty Taylor at this level to be honest.. not sure how that will work in a 1 striker system

Who could it even be? He’s sounds as though he’s talking about league 1 strikers who you could actually sign so Madden or Norwood? Can’t see it being many others tbh
Maybe Grigg but where would the money for him come from haha and I’d be stunned if Sunderland would seek to a direct rival

People are suggesting Grigg or Norwood. Possibly a free agent, Omar Bogle? Sam Winnall? Would rather we spent big on a left winger to be honest

I’ve always quite liked him tbh. Always struck me as one of those players who seems to help other players to shine by doing the dirty work, a bit like Matty Taylor at this level but can actually score.

He wasn't that bad on the pitch for us, but the way he handled the whole wanting to go back to Derby thing probably makes him my 2nd most hated Striker to play for us in recent times behind Darren Bent.

Although I suppose things worked out better for us given he's been shipped out on loan and bounced between Mid-Table Championship teams getting paid fortunes by Derby and we ended up with Mitrovic eventually.

Haha I genuinely forgot all about that!

I think we're now just a right winger away from being done now.

Would love us to get Odin Bailey from Birmingham, depends if they want to send him out on loan.

Pretty much two players for every position, I'm excited for this season.

This is us at the moment. And to be honest I think this'll be the team that starts against Arsenal (or at least, the team I'd play against Arsenal) regardless of if we sign anyone over the next week. So not ideal. We need a Centre-Back to partner Hector and a Right-Back minimum or we might as well just bin next season off and start planning for 21/22 in the Championship, but we just keep getting linked with Midfielders and Wingers so I don't really know what we're doing.

On our fan forum last night someone actually said that losing in the play offs to Oxford didnt matter because Oxford didn’t get promoted and are therefore in the same league as us so we weren’t cost anything
    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

FINALLY had a communication from the club about season tickets, only about 6 months after I paid in full for my 20/21 season ticket.

Pro rata refunds (1/23) on a game by game basis for any game played behind closed doors. Fair enough policy, but if this current arrangement lasted the whole season they'll have been sat on my money for the best part of 18 months by the time the season ends.

And they wonder why fans are feeling alienated from their clubs in modern times...I'm lucky that I don't need the money back but imagine people on lower incomes could be struggling.

The option of a full refund - considering clubs can't provide what you've paid for, with a week until the season commences - should have always been on the table for those who need it.
