    Lad.

However wtf if with English football clubs making a big deal about the Super Bowl? A load of absolute nonsense.

I bet the Patriots have never once tweeted about our big games against Gillingham.

Will take him over Schurrle now to be fair. Did an interview where he confirmed he was gone in the summer if (when) we go down which is fair enough because we can't pay someone 100k a week in the Championship. But he also basically said he was too good for a relegation battle, which if you've seen him this season- he really isn't. Our best 45 minutes all season came when he got taken off on Tuesday.

Never understood the hype around him going to you lot. Very average player

Think he peaked 4 or so years ago, and a combination of injuries and loss of confidence has destroyed him. He still has moments where you can see how good he used to be like his bangers against Cardiff and Burnley and 6 goals isn't a terrible return given how bad we've been this season- but he just doesn't offer enough off the ball to justify him taking 29 shots a game and being lucky if 2 are on target.

Unless I've misread something we're only allowed 3 foreign loans in a matchday squad as well, and now we've signed Nordtveit I think Schurrle's likely to be the one left out. Well, it can't be Sergio Rico, Nordtveit's presumably signed to play CB instead of Ream and then it's a choice between Vietto and Schurrle and I'd rather have Vietto because he at least puts work in off the ball and had his best performance of the season on Tuesday. Should've started against Palace instead of Ream.

farlz pal, got nothing against Villa but most players go their whole career without doing something like this and he has now done it twice. Was incredibly fortunate Ibra wasn't injured but now he has injured someone.

He probably didn't mean to cause the damage he did, however, he could have easily got out of the way and decided to leave one on him as they had been battling throughout the game.

Very disappointed but knew as soon as they consulted the ref nothing would come of it, was dreadful and gave us nothing

Nice to see Fredericks get back into the West Ham team just before we play them. Didn't score in over 100 games for us, guaranteed he'll score against us in a couple of weeks. Just been that sort of season.

Our away form deserves a mention. Losing 2-0 without a shot on target away to a Palace team who had won 2 home games all season and scored 6 goals before we showed up about sums ours up.

This. It just doesn’t happen multiple times by mistake. In a league where we’ve had a player banned for simulation despite being assaulted off the ball, and a player banned for 6 games for spitting months after a game - in which no one saw it and no opposition player complained at the time - it’s a ridiculous decision. ‘Big club’ though innit.

Makes you wonder what would have happened if it was a Rotherham or Wigan player committing the stamp etc...

To be fair, Cooper at Leeds got given 6 games for stamping on Oxford a couple of years ago.

This just seems really inconsistent, not that it’s surprising

I just can’t get over anyone defending it. Alright I can see that he didn’t necessarily intend to make contact with his head, but he makes absolutely zero effort to try and avoid contact with the player which is pretty damning.

Even at 5 a side, if you think your boot is coming down anywhere near someone you’re scrabbling around trying to make sure it lands anywhere else, even if it means you hurt yourself in the process.

I didnt realise every club in the EFL has to have a player from their academy in their matchday squad
like that rule tbh, hopefully they gradually up it to ~3 which I think would be the fairest amount (some places just wont have the talent to find it easy to produce players even with good academy coaching)
  • Karlos
    24314 posts Club Captain
    Didn't know that either tbh.

and yup have to agree with with you lot, he may not have gone out of his way to stand on his head, but he would have known roughly where Oliviera was, then took a look down so he definitely knew where he was, and then made no effort whatsoever to get out the way
A dangerous tackle thats reckless but has no intent to injure the player is a red card and a 3 match ban, that should have been the same as a minimum

We've had Mark Tyler on the bench to make that rule, even though he was in the academy before most of us were born.

When in doubt and when playing ****, cling onto attendances.
Pretty impressive, considering we're sliding down the table and we've sold out the last three home games. If we sell out Brentford and Derby (which we almost have) then we will have set a new club record for consecutive sell-outs.

Ah yes the EFL advertise our success with youth 2 years after we were fined £15,000 for playing 'weak' teams even though our youth players got us out the group stages of the paint pot cup
    Lovely

10 players out, can only name 6 subs and completely out of form
Sounds like we are gonna scrape a win to me
