I'll admit, chips with mayo in Belgium is the best.

I went for Mushy peas in the end as they are a thing of beauty... there isn't a thing on that list I would turn my nose up at though.

Freaks the lot of you, not even a debate curry all day. Preferring mayo over curry, disgusting.

I think my favourite condiment was kebab meat in all honesty but salt and vinegar was my vote as I need it for a pastie supper.

Wasn't easy deciding between Salt and Vinegar and Mayo but after deliberation i voted for mayo.

Yeah and why is that Gravy from the Chinese always the best, even though nobody has a clue how it's made :D :D

We should extend this discussion to favourite matchday food and best thing your own club has to offer, once the Chip debate is complete of course. Then at least it's on topic :)

Usually a Pie but there's an amazing chippy outside the away stand at Rochdale, if you ever get the chance to go I recommend it, one of the better chippys I've been to.

See stuff like Gravy and Ketchup for me are hard to choose cos of that exact reason, they do go with a lot of things. Whereas Mushy peas are more of a specialist market for chips and pies :)

Rochdale is just far superior to Bury in every single way

Mine is pie and peas and ironically the best place I have had them is that bar that Wigan have for away fans under the stand, absolute perfection. Closely followed by the old Feethams when we used to watch Darlo.

Boro is basically like a rubbish McDonald's these days, although they serve up a legendary Teesside takeaway dish called a Parmo and they put it in a bun.

Thats more to do with posh oxford boys having money to sit in the algarve all summer :D

You Northerners can't afford a week in Portugal? ;)

We can, cos our houses basically cost the same as a shed where you live :D But Northern boys love Magaluf too much haha.

I thought it was gravy that we loved ?

Chips, cheese and gravy is the one.

I had cheese and onion pie and chips for lunch but it was ruined by it swimming in gravy. The love of gravy is the worst thing about living in Manchester. Gravy should be for roasts and steak pies only.

We should have a league football lounge vote on favoured condiment for chips.

    Ketchup.

One of the Butchers in Darlo does Chicken Curry with roast spuds in a tray for lunchtime special, needless to say it goes down well with locals.

Ketchup is good, and couldn't you just ask for no Gravy??

    That sounds quite nice actually.

I could have but I thought I'd try it with gravy as that is the Mancunian thing to do and everyone else was. It was a mistake.

If you have to go to Belgium for it to be a good condiment then it isn't a good condiment.

Yeah it's decent, only a couple of quid too, not very often you can get a meal for 2 quid these days.. it's proper English curry too, that yellowy colour that looks like it's been cooking for about 4 days :D

I think the Gravy would be less offensive on a meat pie, cheese and onion just needs S and V and Ketchup
