Could average players play 40 games for WL?

I am a Division 2 player and I play 3 to 5 games per day and a little bit of tradding. When I have qualified for WL I find it incredibly stressing and exhaustive and I have a few questions.

40 games isn't it too much? Around 10 hours of gameplay with no trading , no wasting time in the menu and no breaks.

What is the profile of people that play 40 games per weekend?
What is the people that EA is trying to get by putting 40 games instead of 30?
Should an average player be able to play 40 games from time to time?

I am just curious because I have never been able to complete 40 games for WL.

If you want to spend the time getting in the 40 over three days you do, if you don't well... You don't. It's really that simple.

It's not aimed at the average player. EA actually thinks about raising the amount of games being offered so that the casual FUT player won't ever complete his games and only the "best" can get top 100 and qualify for regionals.

But yeah an average player can also complete 40 games, just need solid time management.

We all know that, but that does not make this playing mode friendly at all... We all want prizes but many people may think it is just not sane.

    Thanks for your time!

If it is aimed for Top players I guess that EA could have better ways to find those players.. I mean, they have access to the stats and records.

But that is definitely a reason. Many people is now really competitive due to WL.

Of course the most games I've played in a weekend is 23

Much more important things to do IRL than play 40 games a weekend

Rage quits really get the time down. I get probably 6-8(around 6 for sure) RQs for a WL I would guess.
so that makes it about 32/34 full games to play. the more RQs the better, if you wanna save yourself the time, quit when you go down 3.... I usually stick with it and I have come back a few times from down 3, but
if it's late in the day/in the game just save yourself the time and quit.

    So 40 - 8 RQs - 3 self quits (if you're not a good player, perhaps more) = 30 or below.

you could finish that with about 2-2.5 hours per day, which isn't "too much".
if you win 15 or more of these games, it makes it worthwhile.

25 matches in WL is my record and got Gold 3 but I found it very exhaustive. I guess that for us (People that have kids) is way more exhaustive.

WL makes us feel and see the difference between an average player and a competitive player. That puts my motivation to this game to the floor.

I know that.. But pausing the game is not a friendly way to make a person quit the game.

We are all not thinking about the person in the other end.

It's different for me as I started the game a lot later (when it was free in the vault) I would consider myself a casual player but I do generally get 40 games in at the weekend. I think a lot depends on circumstances, 20 years ago I'd be out drinking every Friday & Saturday so no way would I have the time. Now on Friday/Saturday nights, once the kids are in bed I can play all night (my wife runs a gardening website so we have a bit of a trade off, I don't whinge about the time she spends on there & she doesn't moan about FIFA :joy:) Sunday evening is the same, the kids & wife go to bed early for school & work so I'm on my own anyway.

Having said that.. Should we all agree that WL brings the worst behavior of every online player to obtain better prizes?

    Definitely not sane.

I said nothing about pausing the game in order to make them quit haha.
I do none of it... but people quit some times when they don't wanna waste their time when you're clearly better.
I used to relax when I get up 3 and just keep possession but now my recommendation would be to just "kill the game" and get up 4/5 if they don't quit.

I have yet to get to 40. I have only bothered to play it +- 4 times this year and most I played was 35 to get to Elite.

40 is just too much. But if you have time and you enjoy it then why not. I could have saved a lot of money if I just played WL more and spent less on packs. But I value time over money

    I'm glad to hear that.

I mean, I you are already winning no reason to make it nasty. But if they wanna quit after you keep playing respectfully is a different situation.

    And admirable from you!

if they lower it to 30, way to many people will go 30, making who qualifies come down to skill points. the reason weekend league was created was to help fifa grow as an e sport, not to give rewards to casual players.

    Nice idea...

The people that qualify faster will have way more time to complete the 40 games. People that spend 2 or 3 days trying to qualify would be punished by the lack of time...

Like lots have said, 40 is a lot but it's meant for only the most committed to be able to complete. I haven't done it for months, but it's important to keep the game total high so the difference in player ability can be shown

Everyone want prizes and WL seems an attractive way to obtain them.. Unfortunately due to the big amount of games needed (Even for Top Players) to obtain good rewards people act really rude and disrespectful to make them mad and get a rage quit.

Nobody makes anyone play WL but with a little bit more of time people would behave different and it could even be friendly.

One of the things that could disappear would be pausing the game when winning to make the opponent quit. That is a really disrespectful way to obtain more rewards.

Dude video games = life for too many people now. You will NEVER see a more "well behaved" pot of players whether there's a 3 day or 30 day time limit. Also... This above is how you actually quote and reply!

    Example:
Qualifying starts in Monday... Qualifying the very first day would give this people the advantage of start the WL games on Monday which could be really comfortable.

And for people that spend 2, 3 or 4 days qualifying they will end up with limited time to complete the games.
