Anyone else thinking of buying 90 mertens over Tots version?

If he gets cheap enough I'm considering it, he has 6 99 stats as it is!
How much do we think his tots could end up costing? This version hits 500k I'll be more than tempted! Surely they won't give his tots 99 stats on his face card for shooting dribbling and pace!

The TOTs will be all about that physical upgrade.

The only boost you'll get from tots is strength and he's so weak that the upgrade won't be noticeable. Blues look cooler but in this case will be worse value

open to anything really. will have a Everton team and USA team but after that I have no idea and ill have that much left to spend lol thinking maybe some legend mixed with Serie A tots. only legends ive used so far have been Crespo, Suker, and Ruip

90 only has plus 2 strength over 89. Mite aswell buy 88/89 and save some coins, or wait till tots card.

Messi never had 50 strength... tots upgrade is gonna be what? +6-10? Not enough to make a big difference in game.

I was planning on getting tots but packed him in a totw pack, so I'm gonna keep and get tots nainggolan instead. Haha the 90 is so good.

It'll depend on how much strength he'll get. I've got 94 Hazard with an architect card and I definitely notice his strength even though he'll always be bullied by defenders because of his height. Right now I'm comparing the 88 with the 90 and the upgrades are minimal, especially if you take chem styles into account. He's got so many (almost) maxed stats that the physical upgrade will decide if he's worth it or not.

Exactly. A physical boost on Mertens' TOTS won't make THAT big a difference tbh. He's got 55 strength on this new IF, so even with +10 strength he'd still be weak as ❤️❤️❤️❤️.
