Nope, I've faced Willian and Sanchez at CM and they defend just as well, if not better, than guys with 80+ defending

I've stopped looking really. even for CDMs, I look gor strength, aggression mainly, with interceptions a secondary consideration.

My 3 man midfielder is Dendonker, Naingolan and Medel, wouldn't ever change it! Defending and stamina is a must for CM in the WL

Only if the player has pace and stamina, defending stats don't mean anything if you can't get near your opponents

Defending stat means absolutely nothing, AI decides if you win the ball back or not. If he has high aggression and high strength then it's effective. Just ask yourself why does Rooney play soo well at cm and cdm?
