    England Team 3-4-3:
Butland, Dier, Stones, Keane, Sterling, Henderson, Wilshere, Chamberlain, Alli, Rashford, Kane

    Brazil Team 4-3-3:
Ederson, Rafael, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Alex Sandro, Oscar, Fabinho, Rafinha, Felipe Anderson, Roberto Firmino, Neymar

Many say this is England's biggest test in the last decade, after a failed World Cup 2014 and 2010 they look to beat a high scoring Brazilian side to make the last four for the first time since 1990, the media built it up with the current two best players going head to head. Gone are the times of Messi v Ronaldo, now it's Neymar v Rashford, who will guide their nation to glory? Well it wasn't Neymar's day that's for sure, the game got off to a sensational start with Rashford netting in the 4th minute, Oscar replied with a goal seconds later. Both teams went it at for the rest of the 90 minutes with the game end to end for a large part of it and we went on to extra time where Rashford came alive and netted two quickfire goals to get his hatrick and become the top scorer. An Ederson own goal sealed the match in the final moment of the game and England go on to the semi-finals with a scoreline that doesn't look too good for Brazil.

Spain and Portugal were up next another massive game of two nations with a big rivalry, Spain took the lead with the main man up front Morata scoring a superb volley from Jordi Alba's cross and the left back also got on the score sheet with a well timed counter attack down the left side of the pitch, Alba went all the way and put it in the bottom corner in what was a fantastic solo goal. Portugal came back shortly after, Diogo Jota the countries top scorer this tournament nets his forth goal but it wasn't enough as time was running out and Spain held on thanks to De Gea making a couple of world class saves. England v Spain will be a special semi-final.

First my predictions... I must risk
    Belgium v Argentina - 1-2
    England v Spain - 3-1

Epic victory in the extra time. It looks like the match was harder than the result shows. Anyway you are doing great and Spain should not be more difficult than Brazil.

    Good luck!

Firstly we had Belgium against Argentina and once again Argentina fail to go all the way and win the tournament, the pressure got to them and it does look like it will never happen for Messi now, Belgium played an incredible game, some of the best football in the tournament with Eden Hazard and Benteke combining to win the game 2-0.

England and Spain was the next big match, who goes on to face Belgium in the final well it all came alive in the dying minutes after a very edgy game where nobody wanted to put a foot wrong. It took a bit of brilliance when Harry Kane chipped the ball in the box for Dele Alli to first time volley in the top corner, not even the best keeper in the world De Gea could get near it. Rashford added to that 6 minutes later with a well timed counter attack to finally chip the keeper but Spain came fighting within seconds and could have scored if it wasn't for Butland making a world class double save. Spain did get a goal back with Pique heading in the corner but with little time left England held on to win the game.

    Man... what a goal!!

Congratulations for this victory. Hard working victory, but you are where you wanted to be and, to tell you the truth, Belgium should be easier than Spain and Brazil, at least on paper.

    You're the clear favorite here.

    My predictions:

    Belgium 1-3 England
    Argentina 2-1 Spain

England got off to the best of starts as the best player on the planet right now Marcus Rashford set the stadium alight with a goal within the first 10 minutes, the young striker stormed down the left side of the pitch and launched the ball in to the top corner in what was a great solo effort, Belgium brought it back minutes before half time thanks to the big man himself Lukaku netting a penalty after Hazard went down in the box in what looked like a dive, controversial indeed.

Both teams locked each other out of the game in the 2nd half, some world class defending from both sides to keep the score level until the final 10 minutes when it exploded once again. Benteke scoring a powerful header in the top corner from a corner driven to the near post, England's heads dropped but it took something magical from the man that creates the chances for England, Dele Alli curled a long range shot just outside the area beating Courtois in the bottom corner, somehow the ball managed to get through that Belgian defence.

It was extra time that decided the game and super sub Vardy was the hero England needed, his first an last World Cup and what a away to finish it by scoring the winning goal, a perfect counter attack from England supplied by Harry Kane, the ball lobbed over for Vardy to run on and slide past Courtois for an easy tap it, England crowned World Cup Winners for the first time in 52 years, what a away to seal it!

Just want to say thanks for everyone that has followed this story and the people that took part in the little game that went along with it, special thanks to @Greenman019 and @subpop for going all the way with the predictions, I was going to continue this but I actually saved over it as I played some Euro qualifiers a few months ahead so I'll stop it at a good place of winning the Cup, my next story will most likely be the Man Utd Fifa 18 one if career mode gets a bit of love, waiting on news at gamescom in August for that, anyway thanks again.

Congrats on the win. Sounded like one hell of a game ^^

What a journey for Vardy, from non league football to scoring the winner in a european final.

Look forward to what you do next with Fifa 18 mate.
