I'm 19, in the process of deciding what I'd like to do with college/job and it's head melting.

Wondering what some of you lads do and what you think of your jobs?

Google searches could make any type of job seem like an unreal career, so would like to hear what you do and if you like it.

Cheers lads!

I'm still a student in college and probably have 1-1.5 years left to get my degree for accounting.

Anyways I started working at Home Depot a few months ago and so far it has been really easy

I'm a full time business student, work ~36-40 hours between Friday, Saturday and Sunday in a restaurant and co-own a Nutraceutical company with my brother as well.

Restaurant is good money so it makes the long hours worth it. Depending how busy it is I make anywhere from $25-$40 an hour + free drinks at the end of the night.

Has it been accounting all along for you or did you try anything else before studying it?

Getting a job that is easy is just great. My part time job is simple work and it's just easy money. :D

I work part time in a restaurant myself but not to the extent you do. Only 15 hours on the weekend or so, but getting tips really brings up what I earn.

Supermarket work, no i don't enjoy it purely because the managers believe they're better than everyone, are rude & they don't have enough staff but try to pressure the current staff into doing more for their money.

Once I decide what I want to do, or pass my driving i'm out of there & onto something better.

Well I'm finishing up my freshman year of college now so I haven't changed it yet and don't have any plans yet. Business is where the money is and it's mainly just people skills which is easy

My first job was in supermarket aswell and I absolutely hated it just purely because of the managers myself. Lasted 3 weeks. :joy:

Club and high school swim coach. $22 an hour for now. Just took it over so my pay and the success of the club mostly hinges on my people skills and the ability to grow the program. The more athletes I bring in the more money I make. Simple idea but the possible rewards are endless. Absolutely love going to work everyday knowing I love what I do

It only everyone was happy mate honestly. I love talking to guests as you meet people from all walks of life but some of the things I have to put up with I wouldn't wish on the guy who coded Jack Butland

I'm a journalist. I've always said the career found me rather than myself choosing to do it. Writing always came easy/naturally to me and I loved re-telling stories when I was younger. Just made sense to start walking down that path when I was forced to decide what I wanted to do.

Been doing it for 4 years now. Absolutely love the fact that I'm always doing something different every day. It's cool too going out there and digging for stories, breaking news to people and both calling prominent people out when they ❤️❤️❤️❤️ up and recognizing individuals for their achievements. It's honestly so much fun. That's the reporter/writer side of it... I took a position as editor of a community paper just outside of Toronto six months ago and, while I'm enjoying it, it's definitely not as fun as being out and about all day turning up leads and speaking to people. It's harder work and more pressure, but I guess it's pointless standing still in your career. Gotta be prepared to move on up that ladder when the opportunity presents itself.

My advice would be find something you like/enjoy/find easy and work towards that. It doesn't matter what it is or how out of reach it may seem - if you do enough research and put the required effort in, you'll eventually get to where you want to be.

I can imagine you're never working too late then, seen as it's a theme park? That's what I hate about working in my restaurant, hours are very unsocial.
