Seems like we've signed Maxi Romero from Velez for €6m. 16 year old, apparently unreal talent.

Why pay 6 million euros for a 16 year old if he has no "unreal talent"? :unamused:

I can't shake the feeling that we are going to bottle this.

The league would become very boring if you didn't.

Top 3. There is no doubt that Arsenal will give everything for that 4th spot, but being 3rd or 2nd or even challenging for the league (as unrealistic as it is at this point) seems like a dead end to me. I just feel like we will most likely lose today and that will begin the chain reaction which leads us to finish 4th.
  • We best win today. Can't be **** with a scrap for 4th again. Not really fancying it today though, we normally counter Liverpool and their 3 CB formation is hard to counter.

Couldn't have put it better myself @ThierryHenry . Welcome to the forums by the way, legend.

The right team other than perhaps Mertesacker instead of Gabriel. But I can see why Wenger did that, Gabriel is still inexperienced and mistake prone. Liverpool haven't got Sturridge or Suarez to rip Mertesacker apart this time. We're at home, I'm confident.

A step in the right direction for him, indeed.

Mertesacker wasn't at fault for the 5-1 defeat last season. I'd argue he was the least guilty out of our entire defensive set-up.
  • Don't buy Mertesacker starting. Will hardly be a shocker if our right hand side gets savaged.

Sterling Henderson and Coutinho ripped the sideas much as or more than Suarez and Sturridge that match

Sterling yes, but Henderson and Countinho ripped our midfield apart, that's different. Our midfield is a lot stronger this year. And with only Sterling up front you're a lot less dangerous to defences.

That would be our left hand side.
