oppo forfeits - I lose

Why am I losing almost every single time my oppo forfeits or just shuts off their console? It's just a game, so at this point I just chuckle. But in truth it is also very annoying. I have to either shut the game down and come back later, or go play seasons for a while before I can reconnect.

What are people doing??

Had it happen today tried to get him to rq and he did then i lost lol was up 4 0 after 10mins

I just wonder if there's something they are doing that is causing me to lose. Connection is fine - not getting booted from xbox live - the game is paused when my oppo has the ball then they quit.

You pressed the home button on your controller? If your opponent quits and you do that you get disconnected...
