Finally a D1 title!
I went from relegated (3-4-3) to winning D2 at 7-0-1 and now for the first time ever winning D1 at 7-2-0. That's 14-2-1 and my best run of play ever.
70 seasons completed this year. Didn't win D1 in '16 and god knows how many seasons I completed.
But holy ❤️❤️❤️❤️ was it a struggle. Games got a bit muddy/laggy. Players just don't react the same. Neuer just about screwed me 6-7 times. You got to really focus and not screw around with the ball.
Honestly thought I would never win it. But damn does it feel good to get that monkey off my back.

@RSL183 thank you! I don't disagree on the chem, but I also think it's crazy to penalize Ronaldo 3 chem for playing ST. I do the switching in less then 10 seconds, so I don't think it's a huge deal.
Agree... They should bring in more reasonable position changes.. like limits for players. ie Lukaku should not be able to change all the way to CDM for example... LW should be able to change to Striker only etc.. (that is their final position change)

As for my record.... It says like 950-350-650. But my 6 year old son plays and i've done the loyalty glitch without dashboarding (just quitting). Seasons record is 292-125-212. Overwhelming majority of that is in D1/D2. I maybe played 15 seasons outside of D2 & D1.
As for "struggling" with the team. I've played a ton of FIFA 16 and 17. Honestly, there isn't a huge difference between most cards. I've beat really great teams and lost to truly 81 rated squads. I went back to Vidal after "upgrading" to SIF Nain. Honestly, didn't miss a beat.

Like I said, prior to my first ever D1 win in literally 100+ attempts (if not more) I was relegated down to D2 with a 3-4-3 record.
I'm trying to "bottle" what worked over the last 2 days. I scored more. I won my last D1 game 4-3. Usually don't score 4 nor give up 3. My seasons goals for is ~1.65 and goals against ~1.25. I know I was playing aggressive/fast offense. I kept pressing forward. When an opening was there, I went for it.
I was also pressing more on defense. I absolutely do not play PTB nor do I sit deep, 40 pressure. So I figured I might as well try to get the ball back as fast as possible instead of going into this backpeddle/jockey mode trying to set my defense.
Some would say this is your standard "sweaty" play. Might be. Don't care. When I play possession football, considering how insane AI interceptions are (just holding A on defense and/or putting mids & defenders on aggressive interceptions), I end up having a pass intercepted on giving up a counter.
BorasLegend (Hashtag Boras) on youtube has some great vids. Most of the above he's covered. I've tried this "aggresive" style before but got my "normal" results. Not sure if something just clicked or if its a fluke... quite frankly, don't care at the moment

Best in for Bale. Rio for SBC Toprak. IF Walker for 83 Carvajal. I kinda gave up on TOTY Messi right now. After hearing Gorilla talk about TOTY Messi, I figured i'd try Best first. Never used him but looking forward to it.
Got Rio for the 20 games. I'll try him tonight tomorrow. I've used regular Walker so I am sure the IF is solid.
If they don't work out, it's plan... plan... hell... who knows at what plan i'm on. But if Rio/Walker don't work out then i'm going with TOTGS Varane or 91 Ramos and TOTY Marcelo.

Don't disagree at all. Winning D1 is.... for me.... literally 100x harder then winning D2

Apparently, my congratulations were repaid in personal victory - I just qualified for my first weekend league, on my first attempt no less. Now I feel like one of the big kids too
